Triumph Speed Triple description
2002 Triumph Speed Triple, Call Catina or Kevin @ 859-253-0322 - Redeveloped for 2002, the new Speed Triple is powered by Triumphs new generation trademark triple engine. Featuring high-pressure die-cast crankcases repositioned alternator and starter motor drive lighter internals revised lubrication and cooling systems and a new gearchange mechanism the new engine is quieter at idle cooler running and much more potent. The new chassis is also lighter, more nimble and quicker-steering. The wheelbase is reduced by 11mm to 1429mm, steering geometry is steepened for increased agility and the rear of the bike is raised to increase ground clearance. A new lightweight 17-inch front wheel saves unsprung weight and further improves steering response. Front suspension is multi-adjustable as is the rear, which retains the stylish single-sided swingarm. Sporting revised bodywork, a smaller instrument pod and closer set headlights, the Speed Triples looks are as brutally handsome as ever.
