Triumph Other description

Fresh from the barn (literally) after sitting for 5 years.
- Project bike.  I cleaned the carbs and popped a fresh battery on it but have not attempted to start.   Have drained engine oil and gas.  Bike after sitting so long needs a thorough going over before starting in my opinion.  Will leave that to next guy, as I unfortunately have too many projects and too little time.
- Chopped/Bobbed with lots of tasty parts in the 70s
- Kicks / turns over easy / has compression.  Strong spark.
- Rolls straight and smooth
- Clicks easy thru all gears
- Cables and levers (throttle, brakes) function smoothly
- Front end operable but not rideable - seals are shot and forks won't hold fluid
- Replacement t100 front wheel and all (or most?) of other t100 pieces to replace front end included: see last 2 pics
- Michigan title signed over to me.  I have not applied for an NC title and do not intend to - don't have time for DMV.

The Triple's ready, three days early!

Wed, 24 Mar 2010

Mark Forsyth returned our Bonneville long termer today, and the Speed Triple was ready at the triumph factory to be brought back with him…three days early. Here’s a picture of it ‘wedged’ in the back of our new Ford Wildtrak. The bad news is, it won’t arrive at our London office until Friday, patience Andy, patience.

AMA Sportbike: 2012 Daytona 200 Results

Tue, 20 Mar 2012

The 2012 Daytona 200 delivered another fairy-tale finish with underdog privateer Joey Pascarella and the Project 1 Atlanta team fending off a pack of three other racers to win by a slim 0.048 second margin. Competing in just his first Daytona 200, 19-year-old Pascarella from Victorville, Calif., held the lead for 41 out of 57 laps to finish first ahead of a last year’s winner Jason DiSalvo while Cameron Beaubier squeezed by 2010 Daytona Sportbike Champion Martin Cardenas in a photo-finish to take third. For the Project 1 Atlanta team, the win marked a dramatic turnaround from a let down in 2011.

50th Anniversary Of The Great Escape To Be Celebrated With Electric Motorcycle

Wed, 26 Jun 2013

July 4th marks the 50th anniversary of the iconic Steve McQueen film, “The Great Escape,” and to commemorate the golden anniversary of McQueen’s escape attempt from German forces during WWII, McQueen Motorcycle will unveil a special electric motorcycle, the Xscape. The Xscape is scheduled to be McQueen Motorcycle’s first production motorcycle, with cues to incorporate today’s technology and integrate “the history and design of tradition.” Details are scarce at this point, but considering McQueen rode a Triumph TR6 Trophy in the scene, it would be reasonable to expect similar styling. In fact, looking closely at the photo above will reveal wire wheels, most likely a nod to the vintage Triumph.
