Up for Sale is a 1948 Triumph T100 Speed Twin Motorcycle. Frame # T.F. 12974. Transmission # T.E. 107516. No motor number on case ( see picture). Previous Owner was building this bobber project in the 1970's and never quite finished and sat since the 1980's. Carburetor was cleaned and gas tank flushed. No battery, Magneto only. Bike does fire up and run but will need some more fine turning. Mileage is unknown. Gas tank has no dents. Inside is clean. Front and rear brakes work. Shifts though the gears. Chrome does have pitting/ rust in spots. The headlight and tail light need to be wired. One broken fin on the head (see picture). You receive what is pictured. Are Motorcycles Safer With Antilock Brakes?

A new report says riders with ABS-equipped bikes can dramatically reduce the chance of a fatal accident. The study compared fatality rates among riders on bikes that have antilock brakes, and it found that death rates were 38% lower on motorcycles equipped with the optional ABS systems compared to non-ABS bikes. In 2005-2006, the fatal crashes per 10,000 registered motorcycles without antilock brakes was 6.6.

Still no score and twenty years ago, yours truly came to work at MO for the first time (where I apparently found it my duty to insert a lot of parentheticals signed Ed). I think the 2002 Triumph Speed Triple was one of the first bikes we reviewed upon my arrival. That’s me resting on the couch after performing the horn mono for Minime’s Kodak Brownie, which took a lot out of me.
