Triumph Bonneville description

A 1968 Triumph Bonneville (US edition) in very good condition. I reassembled it over several years spending thousands of dollars on new parts where required.  The engine was professionally rebuilt with rebore, new pistons and all new engine bearings.  Last run about a year ago when it started first kick.

Renovations include - rebuilt forks with new fork stanchions, rubbers and seals.  New headlamp shell and rear lamp.  Factory-new Amal carbs.  New exhaust pipes and silencers.  Electronic ignition.  New US-spec alloy mudguards. New sealed head bearings and new swingarm pivot.  New speedometer (hence the mileage reading)

In the interests of full disclosure:  the tank was beautifully repainted, but the painter messed up the clearcoat - as a result, spilt gasoline caused the paint surface to craze (not visible on pictures).  It really needs respraying.  The seat is not the standard one for the year.  The chrome on the wheel rims has some blemishes.  The frame and engine numbers do not match.

Triumph Street Triple Used to Test Rocket Components – Video

Fri, 04 May 2012

California-based aerospace company XCOR is using a Triumph Street Triple to test rocket components for a suborbital spacecraft. Of course, what immediately comes to mind is a giant rocket strapped on to the Triumph, but the truth is much less dramatic, yet still fascinating. XCOR is using the Street Triple for endurance testing of bearings components for the rocket propellant piston pump of the Lynx suborbital spacecraft.

Triumph Announce New Street Triple Lineup For 2023

Wed, 02 Nov 2022

Limited Edition Street Triple Moto2 Edition Headlines The Show Triumph has announced a shakeup to its ever-popular Street Triple range today, introducing not one, but three evolutions to the family, creating what it says is “the most powerful Street Triple range ever.” Building off the success it has forged by being the sole engine supplier for the Moto2 racing category, Triumph now introduces the Street Triple R, Street Triple RS, and the Street Triple 765 Moto2 Edition – the latter of which will be relegated to just 765 units worldwide. Unlike Honda, whose CBR600RR engine was the basis of the Moto2 category during its birth, Triumph has used the racing category to advance the 765cc three-cylinder engine shared between the race bikes and production bikes. The latest Street Triple range is the beneficiary of those advancements.
