Pro Singles Flat Tracker Shayna Texter Moves To GNC

The first female to win an AMA Pro Singles main event, Shayna Texter, is graduating to the premier Grand National Championship class aboard Latus Motors Racing’s Castrol Triumph. In 2011 Texter won the Pro Singles main event at Knoxville Raceway to become the first female to win an AMA Pro Singles main event. Last year Texter won two AMA Pro Singles main events on her way to placing fourth in the Pro Singles championship. She also swept the two Basic Twins main events at Springfield.

MSF Begins Year-long Real World Motorcycle Safety Study

The Motorcycle Safety Foundation has started what it calls the first-ever naturalistic study of motorcycling, with 100 motorcycles equipped with data logging equipment to record real-world riding situations over the course of a year. AMA to Combine Daytona Sportbike and Supersport Classes in 2015

AMA Pro Racing announced plans to combine its Daytona Sportbike and Supersport classes into a single category by the 2015 season. The two classes currently share many similarities including engine displacement regulations, minimum weight limits and eligible machines. The Supersport class has more restrictions on modifications and are limited to a maximum top speed of 165 mph while Daytona Sportbike machines are allowed to reach speeds up to 170 mph.
