Leaving the country for a new job and selling all  of my things.

Including  this show bike, I never thought I'd sell. 

I always loved Triumphs, I didn't care for the 67's, 69's etc, you know, the bike's the "collectors"   most seemed to want, they were just too precious for me. I preferred the older models, the bigger fuel tank, etc.

I bought this bike 2 years ago for $6,000 and had it shipped here. My mechanic and I then pulled it completely apart, except for the engine and went from there.

I tried to take out as much of the hoakey, fonzy, bulky, ugly/dated as possible, while still keeping it very much a triumph.

I made this bike an almost all day, every day project, putting in $15,000 in top of the line parts, fabrication, high polishing/chroming, paint, labor, etc.(receipts included) on top of the $6,000.

 Turning it into a bike that someone in the business of showing and buying bikes described as: "one of the cleanest bikes he'd ever seen".

 Alot of people including my mechanics, polisher/chromer, myself and triumph specialists, etc, turned something mediocre into something great.

This a bike where every single detail was done with great care, thought, and without consideration of cost.
I was putting my idea of a dream Triumph together. 

72 Triumph Bonneville 650. One previous owner, New Mexico, clean title, matching numbers frame & engine, Norton front end, both bike & engine essentially starting at 0 miles now.

$4,000 in chroming and high polishing from Santa Rosa chroming and plating.
Triple tree is chromed.
Brand new forks.
Brand new powder coated frame paint job.
$750 fuel tank paint job.
Every nut and bolt that wasn't able to be made to look like a million bucks, was replaced, upgraded, high polished and/or chromed....every single one throughout.
I preferred Alan bolts, they look incredible.
The seat pan and seat frame, which originally fit a family of 4? was cut down and re welded to fit 2. The seat itself was refoamed to a height and shape that is beautiful-ducktail.
Brand new recut, re chromed rear fender to match scale of re shaped seat.
The actual seat was not upholstered yet.
Hand made custom fabricated parts throughout to get rid of any hoaky, bulky, dated,non clean lined piece. Fabricated pieces include headlight bracket as pictured chromed= pictured inside out-sorry. 
Brand new headlight, with previous headlight red, yellow and blue switches and wiring.
Brand new battery, brand new carbs, brand new wire harness.
Brand new front & rear tires, rims, spokes 
Brand new chain
Brand new electrical system and wiring throughout including brand new wire harness.
Brand new components, seals, gaskets, etc., throughout.
 Custom new chain guard-smooth-rivets removed
Braided steel and gold tubing to replace many ugly standard rubber hosings.
Exhaust pipes cut -re welded,, re chromed-were brought in, to make it sleeker instead of the standard 70's really long and ugly fonzy looking ones.  Brand new Mufflers have not been attached yet.
$250 Custom, really, really clean lined LED Piston tail lights with dregz board, custom made with stopping and turn signals.
Custom fabricated parts to hold tail lights and license plate.
$300 refurbished original Smith odometer and speedometer-reading 10 miles.
$250 custom brushed aluminum gage cup holders.
$240 Top of the line really cool mirrors

BRAND NEW, top of the line... EVERYTHING.
 The list goes on and on.

The engine is original, has been checked out thoroughly-is in "great running condition" =Peninsula Motorsports. Again, motorcycle and engine are essentially at 0 miles now.

Every high polished and or chromed nut, bolt, part needed to finish this bike is included down to the license plate holder, other than the seat upholstery.

 I was going to have someone build custom forks for me and put on, top of the line, front brake system, but original system is included.
I was going to have someone airbrush a more modern Triumph on one side of the fuel tank, design a beauty kit better than the original plastic ones and then I would have been done.

Not interested in hearing anyone's "thoughts" on what they "feel a 72 Triumph to be worth". The same as I wasn't interested in a "collectors" thoughts on this. This is not your typical looks like it just rolled out of a barn Triumph in any aspect. 

This bike needs someone who will appreciate the incredible amount of time, care, detail, money and etc that has been put into it/ loves it as much as I do, to finish it off and enjoy it. 

If this motorcycle was fully put together would be asking many more thousands for it again despite what anyone "thought it to be worth".

 Many, many more details, pictures, references of bike's/engine's worthiness happily offered to Extremely serious, have the cash at hand potential buyers.

The picture holding the custom fabricated then chromed headlight bracket: the bracket should be placed the opposite direction and in one picture a mirror-the glass looks broken, it isn't, it's a shadow, mirrors are boxed and brand new.

AMA Hall of Fame member Craig Vetter will be the featured guest at its annual AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Breakfast at Daytona, on Friday, March 14, at 7:00 a.m., at the Daytona 500 Club on the infield at Daytona International Speedway.  “Craig Vetter’s impact is far-reaching, starting with the design of the iconic Windjammer fairings of the 1970s, continuing with motorcycle designs like the Triumph X-75 Hurricane and the limited-edition ‘Mystery Ship,’ and enduring more recently with a resurrected series of motorcycle fuel economy runs that push the boundaries of everyday streamlining,” said Jeff Heininger, chairman of the American Motorcycle Heritage Foundation, which oversees the Hall of Fame. “We’re proud to host motorcycling’s design professor emeritus for this year’s Breakfast at Daytona.” Taking place during 2014 Daytona Bike Week, the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Breakfast at Daytona fundraiser will feature a live interview with Vetter on stage, an audience Q&A period and an autograph session with Vetter and other Hall of Famers in attendance. 2012 Triumph Bonneville T100 110th Anniversary Edition Revealed

Triumph revealed a limited edition model commemorating the brand’s 110th anniversary. Triumph has done a good job trading off of a history that traces back to 1902, so it’s fitting the English marque would recognize the anniversary with a special edition version of its classically-styled Bonneville T100. We had an inkling the 2012 Triumph Bonneville T100 110th Anniversary Edition was on its way after we saw its CARB approval documents a few weeks ago.
