M1 Powersports announced a Facebook promotion that will give away a VIP package to the April 20-22 Road Atlanta round of the 2012 AMA Pro Road Racing Championship. The firs 1000 fans to “like” M1 PowerSports on Facebook will be entered in a draw to win the prize for the Triumph Big Kahuna Atlanta round in Braselton, Ga. Are Motorcycles Safer With Antilock Brakes?

A new report says riders with ABS-equipped bikes can dramatically reduce the chance of a fatal accident. The study compared fatality rates among riders on bikes that have antilock brakes, and it found that death rates were 38% lower on motorcycles equipped with the optional ABS systems compared to non-ABS bikes. In 2005-2006, the fatal crashes per 10,000 registered motorcycles without antilock brakes was 6.6.

Triumph to Mark 110th Anniversary with Special Edition Bonneville T100

Triumph will celebrate the 110th anniversary of the brand with a special edition version of the Bonneville T100. The current Hinckley-based Triumph Motorcycle company has only been around since 1984 but the original Triumph Engineering Co. first began producing motorcycles in 1902.
