Triumph Bonneville description
2013 Triumph Bonneville Two Tone, 2013 Triumph Bonneville Two ToneThe most famous name in motorcycling. A legend. Over 50 years of engineering excellence. A thoroughly modern interpretation of the authentic 'proper' motorcycle. This iconic symbol of rebellion and independence is even more appealing now thanks to its modern specification, low seat, clean fuel-injected 865cc engine and lightweight 17 inch alloys for even sharper handling. Stirs the heart, not the wallet. The name and look may be traditional, but don t for one second think that the Bonneville is old-fashioned.At the heart is a modern 865cc parallel-twin engine that s fuel-injected for easy starting, sweet running and compliance to even the strictest modern emissions regulations. You ll have to look twice though, as traditional carburettor bodies are used to disguise the throttle bodies. Keeping it all in check is a modern chassis that provides sweet handling and stunning agility, thanks in no small part to those 17 alloy wheels, while the low seat height makes the Bonneville manageable and unintimidating for riders of all ages and experience.A wide range of accessories are also available for the Bonneville, allowing riders to personalise the Bonneville to meet their specific needs.FeaturesLooksBonneville. The Fonz Never Really Rode a Motorcycle!
Tue, 02 Jun 2009According to the “King of Cool” himself, “The Fonz” (Henry Winkler) never actually rode any motorcycles during the ten year Happy Days television run. Winkler, never rode a bike in real life either, he has dyslexia, which made it difficult for him to co-ordinate the clutch, throttle and brake. Instead, the bikes (Harley Davidson’s, Triumph’s, BSA’s were used) were mounted on a piece of wood with wheels to make it look like he was riding, even though I am not shocked, I am a little disappointed… You can watch the interview with Winkler, the famous motorcycle jump “The Fonz” made over 14 trashcans and a bonus “Jump the Shark” video after the jump. 2012 Triumph Street Triple sighted
Fri, 03 Jun 2011Whilst sauntering home from work the other evening, in a double-take I stumbled upon a 2012 Triumph Street Triple, the one with the 675 engine. Thinking that I had discovered a 'scoop' that this bike was being previewed in Islington I hastily took shots on my (un)smart phone - only to find out that the 2012 Street Triple has already been released to the streets of the UK. Peers have described the new slanty lights of the Speed/Street Triple as 'looking a bit mongoloid' but I have to disagree.
