Triumph Bonneville description

2006 Triumph Bonneville T-100, REDUCED! PRICED TO SELL! - Adding subtle touches to the uncluttered Bonneville form, the T100 roadster wears a little extra to mark its connection with the classic speedster of the sixties. It also has extra bite, thanks to the full-blooded, 865 cc, parallel twin-cylinder engine that powers it. Delivering throaty performance – echoed by the mellow backbeat from its twin pea-shooter exhaust pipes – a bore and stroke of 90 x 68 mm, compression ratio of 9.2:1 and 360 degree firing interval add up to a responsive, punchy and soulful power unit. The T100’s chassis thrives on the extra power and torque available from the engine delivering secure road-holding, effortless steering and easy-going manners – as you’d expect of a motorcycle drawn from Bonneville stock. The tubular steel frame, 41 mm telescopic forks and chromed twin rear shocks easily cope with the extra performance the engine imparts, as do the powerful twin-piston calipers operating on the front and rear discs. All of the T100’s crisp coach lines are hand-applied and the new two-tone Jet Black with Tornado Red infill paint scheme provides a striking counterpoint to the vibrant White with Tangerine infill. Finishing the look are a tachometer, rubber knee grips and chromed engine covers. The Bonneville T100 is the very essence of urban style and underlines the enduring power of individual expression. This Bonneville T100 comes well equipped with the following premium upgrades: Staintune Reverse Cone Mufflers. On the Staintune in-house Dyno the Bonneville fitted with Reverse Cones produced an extra 12 Horsepower over the standard exhaust system. That is just with the pipes and no engine modifications. Huge gain in throttle response and of course mid range torque. The Reverse Cones sound magnificent on the Bonnie models. They have been described as a note to dance to. They also bring out that distinctive Triumph note and they are sure to turn heads and give your bike a stunning focal point. The Reverse Cones style really suits the Bonnie and will last for the life of the bike. They come in a mirror finish. Dyno Jet Stage 1 Jet Kit. Norman Hyde Air Injection Removal Kit. The air injection system on the Bonneville is designed to clean up the exhaust but results in extra hot pipes giving blue chrome and backfiring. This kit supplies all parts required to remove this unnecessary and unsightly system. Professional jetted and tuned utilizing a Dynojet 250i Dynamometer with exhaust gas analyzer. Norman Hyde Fork Brace. This fork brace is Designed to not only do a good job in keeping the front end straight & true, but also to look good. It is CNC machined from solid high quality aluminium alloy, and is light & stiff. Genuine Triumph Accessories Single Sport Seat with Sargents seat cover. Gi

Nicked by a horse

Mon, 07 Feb 2011

I've done some pretty strange things on motorcycles over the years. The less said the better, really. But getting nicked by a horse mounted copper was a first for me.

Brits Abroad

Tue, 10 Aug 2010

It's a rainy Tuesday evening and I'm trawling the information super highway for my parallel twin fix, when this little gem pops up. It's a teaser for a film called 'Brittown' featuring vintage Triumph motorcycle racer and mechanic Jeff "Meatball" Tulinius from the Hell On Wheels bike shop in Anaheim, CA. Enjoy
