Triumph Bonneville description
Excellent overall condition.
>Starts 1 or 2 kicks, idles, pulls strong. >Oil tight, road safe, everything works. >Service and repair during 2015: 1. All new upper end gaskets and seals. 2. New steering head bearings. 3. New Continental Classic Attack Tires (2016) 4. New clutch plates, clutch cable. 5. New electronic ignition. 6. New Bing carburetor diaphragms. 7. New seat (old original is available). 8. Rebuilt brake master cylinders. 9. New fork seals. 10. New fuel lines and filters. 11. New tank paint. >Modifications: 1. Defective electric starter removed. I still have it along with the large right hand engine cover, but after three unsuccessful attempts at repair, the conversion to kick only was made. 2. Air filter side covers enlarged to accommodate foam air filters. 3. Previous owner gutted mufflers. Exterior is original, but baffles are gone. Sound is good and not offensive.
This bike has been gone through this year and is mechanically sound. Lack of time and interest is the reason for wanting to sell the bike. I have a clear South Carolina title. |

Mon, 14 Nov 2011Interesting motorcycles you probably didn't see1 of 11Next Last There’s no cave deep, mountain high or rock heavy enough to have thwarted news of Ducati’s 1199 Panigale superbike launch at the 2012 EICMA show in Milan, Italy. And a few models such as Honda’s NC700S and X, Kawasaki’s Versys 1000 and CRP’s Energica were unveiled without heavy prior fanfare, but gasps of surprise weren’t heard when the wraps were taken off Triumph’s Tiger 1200 Explorer, Husqvarna’s Nuda or MV Augusta’s F3 675 among others, whose existences were revealed months in advance of the show. What we’ve comprised below is our list Top 10 Bikes unveiled at EICMA that didn’t receive top billing but are certainly worthy of your attention.
Best of British
Tue, 13 Dec 2011Enigma 1050 is a new, all-British motorbike based around a Triumph 1050 Speed Triple engine. It's being put together by a small team of people headed by former MCN editor and lifelong fan of British engineering, Jim Lindsay. "The driving force behind the project," says Lindsay, "Is to showcase some of the amazing expertise that exists in the British motorcycle industry." Enigma is being designed as a sharp-handling road bike with all-day comfort as one of the key goals.
Total and utter destruction
Thu, 15 Sep 2011Poor Ashley Beech. You've gotta feel for him. After a fraction too much throttle on the run down to Donington's Old Hairpin, the rear breaks grip amd he starts what should be a graceful slide across Craner Curve's neatly mown grass.
