1979 Triumph 750 Bonneville Rare - Good Condition - *Part of a Vintage Motorcycle Collection for Sale (see my other listings and the list below) This motorcycle (along with 40+ others) has been owned by a champion racer & collector that has passed away recently. The entire collection has been kept in great shape in a climate controlled environment and has been taken care of professionally over the years. That said this sale is offered as-is, where-is with no warranties, express, implied or any other kind. All information contained in this listing is to the best of our knowledge but the buyer is ultimately responsible to inspect & verify any and all information. 2023 Triumph Modern Classics Range Get New Colors, New Names
Tue, 05 Jul 2022Speed Twin 900 and Scrambler 900 name changes are now official Triumph announced updated color options for its Bonneville “Modern Classics” range, as well as new names for the Street Scrambler and Street Twin. The 2023 paint schemes are generally more vibrant than the 2022 colors, a change brought about in part from the popularity of last year’s Gold Line edition models. Confirming the news we first reported in May, the Street Scrambler has been renamed the Scrambler 900, while the Street Twin will now be called the Speed Twin.

The show happens to be round the corner from me so event sponsors MCE Insurance kindly sent me some passes so I could have a look around. Apart from the usual trade stands and crazy arena antics one of the highlights was the national lawn mower racing championship.

The rise of branding in MotoGP and a rider wanting to market themselves, born from Barry Sheene and his retention of no.7, saw riders decide against displaying their finish from the year before. Rossi, who on winning his numerous championships, stuck with his famous #46 in defence of his titles, instead of stamping a great number 1 on his bikes.
