Latus Racing to Enter AMA Pro Flat Track with Bonneville Performance

Latus Motors Racing announced it is returning to AMA Pro Flat Track competition, working with the Bonneville Performance team with Triumph-powered machines. Last season, the Bonneville Performance team entered the first Triumph AMA Pro Flat Track team in 30 years. Johnny Lewis will ride Latus Motors Racing’s Castrol Triumph bike while Mikey Martin will ride the Bonneville Performance United States Marine Corps 2nd Battalion 4th Marines Triumph.

The Fonz Never Really Rode a Motorcycle!

According to the “King of Cool” himself, “The Fonz” (Henry Winkler) never actually rode any motorcycles during the ten year Happy Days television run.  Winkler, never rode a bike in real life either, he has dyslexia, which made it difficult for him to co-ordinate the clutch, throttle and brake.  Instead, the bikes (Harley Davidson’s, Triumph’s, BSA’s were used) were mounted on a piece of wood with wheels to make it look like he was riding, even though I am not shocked, I am a little disappointed… You can watch the interview with Winkler, the famous motorcycle jump “The Fonz” made over 14 trashcans and a bonus “Jump the Shark” video after the jump. Arai Helmet has thrown its proverbial hat in the ring by signing up to sponsor the next two events of the new GEICO Motorcycle Superbike Shootout Presented by Yamaha. In addition, Arai has been named the official helmet of the series. The Arai Pacific Nationals will be hosted by the AFM next weekend, May 3-4, at Sonoma Raceway in Sonoma, California.
