Triumph Bonneville description

1979 Triumph Bonneville 750.  Very original with matching numbers.  New tires, clutch, shocks and rebuilt transmission.  Nice repaint and chrome is good but not show quality.  Previous owner cut off the mufflers so it will be necessary to replace headers to reattach the mufflers.  Bike has not been started for 18 months so it will need some maintenance to get it running right.  I did keep fresh gas in the tank.  Odometer shows 9600 miles which I was told was correct.  Sold with Bill of Sale. Bike registered and tagged in GA, but no title.  Bike is located in Griffin, GA.  Call 770-228-0045 for additional information.

Triumph 1600 twin Cafe Racer

Mon, 08 Mar 2010

WE SPOTTED this one earlier on French website Motorevue: a Swede, Sivert Raask, has concocted a this motorcycle from Triumph's 1600cc Thunderbird cruiser, with the use of a handmade seat, a Ducati tank and a bit of cunning.Quite tasty for a home-brewed effort, don't you think? We love a cafe racer here on Visordown, send us yours!

French Moto Website Anticipates Versys 1000 at EICMA 2011

Mon, 24 Oct 2011

Musings of a liter-size engined Kawasaki Versys have circulated the web for a few years now, as loyalists of the likable Versys 650, as well as displacement-driven riders waiting in the wings, have pondered the potential of a more powerful adventure bike from Kawasaki that’s in the same league as BMW’s R1200GS and Yamaha’s Super Tenere. Alas, nothing of the sort has ever left the lips of Kawasaki, let alone go into production. Recently, however, the French motorcycle website, Moto-net.com, has produced convincing images that appear like photos of a complete Versys 1000, including matching hard luggage.

Speed Triple exhausts

Mon, 19 Apr 2010

The Speed Triple sounds quite throaty with the standard pipes, on the overrun it pops and farts to its heart content but it could be louder. Also standard pipes are usually quite heavy, on the Triple they weigh 9.3kg!!! Triumphs preferred exhaust manufacture is Arrow and they offer side and under seat options as official Triumph accessories.
