Triumph Bonneville tech info
Triumph Bonneville description
This bike was just restored and finished in May. I have owned this bike for over ten years and it was looking worn. Additonally there was a rod failure and so the motor needed to be built
I have been in the Triumph bike scene a long time. I have restored several Triumphs. So this bike has stainless steel spoke stainless steel rims stainless steel fork seal Stainless steel fork cap nuts the forks were rebuilt the speedo and tach were rebuilt the paint was re done - not to standard. the wiring harness is new as is the Boyer the chrome was redone The tank was sent to Ross Thompson for cleaning and to make sure it was solid to paint the engine was sent to Total Performace in OK- Johny Issac has built hundreds of motors- for flat tracker and road racing- he has built several motors for me and they are rock solid and dont leak Tires and chain are new as are rear brake arm everything on this bike is rebuilt by the best specailists Now this bike was going to be for me, sadly I have health issues and the bike has to go. I have several Triumphs, so I did it to my taste - hence the color is not stock- if you want it made to the orginal color I can have that done before it is shipped. The last item is the case- those of you who know the bike will see it is a 1970 bottom end top is the 69 parts. The rod did damage to the case and I had no choice but to relace it- At the time I thought I would keep it so it doesnt matter It is a "matching" numbers bike as the frame matches the case. So if you are looking for a new Bonnie you can ride anytime this is the bike for you and it will trade at less than a collector bike. If you keep a battery tender on it and start it ride it to keep gas from going in carbs you will be happy If you are a collector the parts alone are worth the price or you can find a 69 motor and slip it in thanks for looking I have tried to be a clear as I can - please let me know of your questions. |

The Steve McQueen Desert Racer
Tue, 24 Mar 2009There are few motorcycle icons within pop culture that have endured as vividly as that of the late, great Steve McQueen. A man who was at one time the highest paid actor in Hollywood, he avoided the limelight in favor of immersing himself within his passion for motorcycles. Never afraid of getting dirty, McQueen was at his happiest flogging a bike around the track with fellow racers or tinkering with the machines himself.
Triumph Rocket 3: Hope you like black
Tue, 29 Sep 2009COLOURED PAINT must be thin on the ground at Triumph: the company's latest incarnation of their gargantuan Rocket 3 will only available in black when it's released early next year. And there's more torque, too: 165ft-lbs to be precise - up 15 per cent on last year. Triumph also say the new bike will offer "A completely different riding experience from its predecessor." Bold statement.
