Triumph Bonneville description

Up for auction is a museum quality 1968 Triumph Bonneville T120R, all original, with 29.5 miles.  This is quite possibly the finest example on the planet of an all original, unrestored, virtually factory fresh 68 Bonnie. It's truly amazing!

If you are a serious collector or just want to own a time capsule representing the pinnacle of British Motorcycle history - you won't find another bike like it. A once in a lifetime opportunity!

It is obvious the bike has been stored in a climate controlled environment since its initial purchase. It maintains all it's originality from date of manufacture with exception of replacing the fuel lines, carburetor cleaning and replacing the engine, primary chaincase and gearbox oils. Starts on first kick and sounds like a brand new 1968 Triumph - as it should.  There are absolutely no visual imperfections, with the only exception of some slight paint peel on the Triumph tank badges.  Paint on tank, frame and side cover is all original and absolutely beautiful. There is not much more to say -  this bike is as close to perfect as possible.

Please look at all the pictures and video closely. This is a serious piece for a serious buyer,  Welcome and recommend the opportunity to speak with any interested party before you bid. Mileage may increase a little as I move the bike around.

Bike is available for local pick up and can be inspected by appointment before auction end.  I will ship domestic and internationally, however the Buyer is responsible for coordinating shipping arrangements and all costs. I can assist by recommending a shipper and help coordinate pick up & load.  I can also deliver within a reasonable distance from my location for $1 per mile fee. I am planning to be at the Triumph National Rally in Oley, PA on June 24th & 25th and can meet there as well.

There is a non-refundable $250 down payment required within 48 hrs of auction end. Balance is due in 7 days payable by bank check or wire transfer.  I can store the bike for a reasonable period of time while you schedule and await pickup.  This is a 48 year old bike, it is sold as is, there is no warranty expressed, written or implied.

I reserve the right to end the auction early.

I try to describe as accurately as possible and to the best of my knowledge.  If you have any questions  please contact me before bidding!  If you would like to speak by phone, send me your phone number and best time to call. Thanks For Bidding!

Motorcycle Drifting, Part 2.

Fri, 13 Jan 2012

Today’s Friday Fun Video comes courtesy of the marketing department at Icon Motorsports. Following the success of their first motorcycle drift video, featuring Nick Brocha on a stretched Kawasaki ZX-10R scorching rubber with Jim Guthrie on a Corvette-powered Mazda RX7, the guys set out to one-up themselves. With this video, I think it’s safe to say “Mission Accomplished.” This time around, Brocha is joined by Ernie Vigil and they’re riding modified Triumph Speed Triples.

MO Tested: Triumph Trident 660 Akrapovi Racing Line Exhaust Review

Wed, 27 Apr 2022

For racing use only The Triumph Trident 660 isn’t the first middleweight naked I would consider taking to the racetrack. Then again, sometimes I forget that some people only own one motorcycle that they use for everything. But, that didn’t stop Akrapovič from developing and manufacturing a closed-course only race-line full-system exhaust for it.

Triumph Speed - A City Tool

Thu, 29 Apr 2010

The Triple and I have covered 2500 miles now and most of that has been commuting through London. Last year I was riding Kawasaki’s ZX-6R and the constant gear changing, braking and acceleration was taking its toll. After 5000 miles the Kwak was feeling loose, rough and generally hard to ride smoothly.
