Triumph Bonneville description

Rare first year Bonneville with numbers matching engine and frame. The '59 Bonneville marked the beginning of this iconic model that ruled the '60s. This motorcycle was part of an eclectic collection of cars and bikes in Austin TX. Following the death of the owner the collection was auctioned at a Mecum sale in 2011. My friend bought it there and later sold it to me to compliment my other British twins. I no longer ride my bikes so decided to sell. This bike was restored several years ago but still shows very well. The mileage is thought to be original but I can't confirm this. It starts and runs but hasn't been ridden in quite some time based on the age and condition of the tires. Call 972-345-9604 with questions.

In a recent Motorcycle.com Review, Tor Sagen took to Circuito de Cartagena [map] race-track on the 2009 Triumph Daytona 675. Photog’s Jason Critchell and Paul Barshon caught the action as Tor rocketed the machine around 3.506 km (2.179* Miles) of track. Luckily for us, some awesome shots were caught in the process.

50th Anniversary Of The Great Escape To Be Celebrated With Electric Motorcycle

Wed, 26 Jun 2013

July 4th marks the 50th anniversary of the iconic Steve McQueen film, “The Great Escape,” and to commemorate the golden anniversary of McQueen’s escape attempt from German forces during WWII, McQueen Motorcycle will unveil a special electric motorcycle, the Xscape. The Xscape is scheduled to be McQueen Motorcycle’s first production motorcycle, with cues to incorporate today’s technology and integrate “the history and design of tradition.” Details are scarce at this point, but considering McQueen rode a Triumph TR6 Trophy in the scene, it would be reasonable to expect similar styling. In fact, looking closely at the photo above will reveal wire wheels, most likely a nod to the vintage Triumph.
