Triumph TR6 description

1960 tr6 engine with a 9 bolt top end installed, 10-1 comp. pistons, megacycle cams, boyer benson electronic ign., 32 mm mikuni carb, new crank bearings, rings, oil pump, sludge trap dismantled and cleaned and the engine rebuilt. the primary drive chain and clutch were upgraded with parts for a 1971 model. trans sprocket was increased to a 21 tooth and the rear hub laced into a 16" harley wheel, the front end is a 27" springer and 33 degree rake. it has triumph drum brakes front and rear, and a corbin gentry seat from the 70's the tires are good and it rides good, in the drive way, very low to the ground, maybe 2 miles on engine since i don't have tags and insurance for it.

The motorcycle needs a battery, there is no battery in the pictures because it's on the charger, it doesn't hold a charge I will include it, you can charge it and start the bike with 1 or 2 kicks, but it needs to be replaced, the inside of the gas tank looks rough I cleaned it out, lining it would be good idea.

Triumph Speed - A City Tool

Thu, 29 Apr 2010

The Triple and I have covered 2500 miles now and most of that has been commuting through London. Last year I was riding Kawasaki’s ZX-6R and the constant gear changing, braking and acceleration was taking its toll. After 5000 miles the Kwak was feeling loose, rough and generally hard to ride smoothly.

AMA Pro Racing Announces Basic Twins Flat Track Class for 2014 Season

Fri, 12 Apr 2013

AMA Pro Racing announced a new class for Flat Track racing designed to provide a new stepping stone for up-and-coming Pro-licensed racers, replacing the Pro Singles class in 2014. The new class, to be called Basic Twins, is more or less a revival of the Basic Expert Twins division that ran during the 2007 and 2008 seasons, but dropped when the Pro Singles class was introduced for 2009. The new class will give young racers a chance to showcase their skills on Twins, easing their transition to eventually enter the Grand National Expert Twins class.
