2011 Triumph Sprint GT, Offering a unique blend of sporting ability and touring practicality, the Sprint GT is the picture of versatility, whether its through the design, the performance credentials, or even its handling capabilities. The Sprint GT is at home on short distance jaunts through the twisty country roads, or long stints on the interstate. Equipped with 31 liter color-matched hard bags from the factory, the Spring GT is ready for your next adventure. This particular GT has been fit with a few accessories by the previous owner, such as a tinted touring windscreen, heated grips, frame sliders, and adjustable rear sets. There are a few marks on the side of the muffler, and a light paint chip or two on the right saddlebag (shown in photos). Triumph Turn Signal Recall Affects 3,799 Motorcycles in US
Mon, 01 Apr 2013A recall initially announced in Canada for turn signal stems on certain 2012-2013 Triumph motorcycles has now been announced for the U.S., affecting 3,799 units. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the recall affects the Triumph Tiger 800, Tiger 800XC, Tiger 1050, Speed Triple, Street Triple and Daytona 675, as well as their various R versions. As described in the Transport Canada recall, the supports for the front and rear turn signals may be prone to fracturing.
50th Anniversary Of The Great Escape To Be Celebrated With Electric Motorcycle
Wed, 26 Jun 2013July 4th marks the 50th anniversary of the iconic Steve McQueen film, “The Great Escape,” and to commemorate the golden anniversary of McQueen’s escape attempt from German forces during WWII, McQueen Motorcycle will unveil a special electric motorcycle, the Xscape. The Xscape is scheduled to be McQueen Motorcycle’s first production motorcycle, with cues to incorporate today’s technology and integrate “the history and design of tradition.” Details are scarce at this point, but considering McQueen rode a Triumph TR6 Trophy in the scene, it would be reasonable to expect similar styling. In fact, looking closely at the photo above will reveal wire wheels, most likely a nod to the vintage Triumph.
