2006 Triumph Speed Triple 1050, Great bike. Always been reliable. The rear tire is done , but the fronts good for another go-round. New battery, stator and rectifier. Race-Teck front suspension with gold emulators. Sprung to a 195# body. Rear spring resprung to 195# body Secondary air intake block offs Full race titanium Arrow exhaust and properly tuned by the good people of Team Triumph in Janesville. Fiberglass wrapped heads Anodized the front forks black Anodized the wheels blue. Frame sliders Integrated LED tun signals in the brake light Several other little trinkets I can't think of. 38724 ish miles. This bike has been religiously maintained. Amsoil ever 2-3000 miles. Chain lubed every day befor a ride. All scheduled maintenance done on time. With all the extrees I've got on here, she's a very capable machine. US Motorcycle Sales First Half 2011 Results

The U.S. motorcycle industry saw a 4.6% decrease in year-on-year sales over the first six months of 2011, thanks mostly to a 17.3% drop in ATV sales. Motorcycle and scooter sales however saw a 1.7% bump in the first half .

The Fonz Never Really Rode a Motorcycle!

According to the “King of Cool” himself, “The Fonz” (Henry Winkler) never actually rode any motorcycles during the ten year Happy Days television run.  Winkler, never rode a bike in real life either, he has dyslexia, which made it difficult for him to co-ordinate the clutch, throttle and brake.  Instead, the bikes (Harley Davidson’s, Triumph’s, BSA’s were used) were mounted on a piece of wood with wheels to make it look like he was riding, even though I am not shocked, I am a little disappointed… You can watch the interview with Winkler, the famous motorcycle jump “The Fonz” made over 14 trashcans and a bonus “Jump the Shark” video after the jump. Triumph Motorcycles Produces 500,000th in John Bloor Hinckley Era

Triumph is celebrating the 500,000th motorcycle produced in the John Bloor era with a tour across the United Kingdom with English stand-up comedian Ross Noble. The landmark motorcycle, a one-off Triumph Speed Triple, is the 500,000th unit produced by the modern Triumph Motorcycles company since Bloor revived the brand in 1990. Carrying VIN number 500,000, the milestone Speed Triple features a special red, white and blue color scheme with the triple-cross of the Union Jack on the fuel tank.
