Triumph Speed Triple description
You are bidding on a two-owner Triumph Speed Triple 955i three cylinder sporting standard motorcycle.
The original owner purchased new in December 1998, and I bought it February 2012. Currently the bike is around 82,000 miles, but that number will likely change as it is still being ridden. Recent service includes:
Synthetic oil, filter, spark plugs, air filter change, ignition coils replaced, gel battery, Michelin Pilot Power 2ct front and rear, 520 chain and sprockets, Leo Vince carbon muffler, Biltwell grips, Bar end mirrors, Both seats recovered in diamond stitch by Gruesome Gator in Pinellas Park, FL This motorcycle was recently tuned at Proven Power in Tampa, FL, and the dyno sheets show 106.27 horsepower and 63.74 lb/ft of torque to the rear wheel. These numbers are strong for a 17 year old bike with over 80k miles! Please note that a Paypal deposit of $500 is required within 24 hours of auction end, with balance due by cash, certified check, money order within 7 days. Shipping arrangements can be made with your choice of shipper, or I can assist with delivery at your expense. I have had good luck with Uship for motorcycle and car deliveries, but you may have your own preference of delivery method. Best of luck bidding, and feel free to ask any questions that you may have. |

If Carlsberg made race circuits...
Fri, 15 Oct 2010I should have filed this blog an hour earlier but I became distracted by the human circus that is the Jeremy Kyle show. It’s a shameful admission, I know, but I’m a firm believer in the policy of honesty being the best. Enjoying the luxury of working from home, I was only making myself a bacon sandwich with the TV on in the background when excited cries of ‘Freak, Freak!’ from Mrs MF drew my attention to this (see pic).
The future. But we can't have it
Thu, 10 Nov 2011It's no secret that we motorcyclists are getting older. We're ageing because less people are passing their bike test each year (roughly 30,000 last year compared to 50,000 for the 10 years before the new two-part test) and so not only is the pool not growing it's not even being replenished and so the average age isn't being diluted down by yoof. When the going gets tough in any situation, you really get to see who's got their shit-sorted and who's light enough on their feet to adapt to change.
