First things first, do not buy this bike if you cannot complete the purchase.
1979 Triumph T140 Bonneville 750 with only 2213 miles on the clock. This is a very original numbers matching bike. It is not currently running and has not been on the road in a while, but the motor kicks over. Carburetors are currently off the bike and disassembled, I will also include a second set of Amal carbs (pictured with the side covers). Original blue and silver paint is faded and worn. Gas tank is in pretty good shape inside and dent free. Fenders are nice and straight and dent free. Side covers are distorted along the edges. Original exhaust has only one small hole at the very rear end of the left muffler. Chrome has varying degrees of rust. Seat is in good shape. Missing the keys, the headlight and headlight ears, but appears to be complete otherwise. Sold with bill of sale only. Thu, 29 Sep 2011Crashes occur fairly often during motorcycle races but rarely do we see a race bike get as spectacularly demolished as this Triumph Daytona 675. The crash took place during the Sept. 11 Donington Park round of the Triumph Triple Challenge, a support class in the British Superbike series featuring the Triumph Daytona 675. Rider Ash Beech low sides going into a corner and thankfully slides relatively safely into the grass.
Recall for 2011 Triumph Tiger 800, 800XC Accessory Center Stands
Mon, 29 Aug 2011Triumph is recalling accessory center stands for the 2011 Tiger 800 and Tiger 800XC because of a defective return spring. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the return springs on the accessory center stand for the Triumph Tiger 800 and 800XC may not always return to its original length, potentially leading to a loose center stand and a fracture in the spring wire. Riders may detect a rattling sound from the loose stand and in the case of a fractured spring, a scraping sound caused by the center stand dragging along the road.
