In 2009, BMW introduced their twin-cylinder F-series models. The F650GS is powered by a 798cc parallel two-cylinder engine that produces 71 bhp and 55 ft-lbs of torque. A chain drive and six-speed gearbox is used to transfer power to the 17-inch cast aluminum rear wheel.
