In 1998, the trademarks were awarded to a group of investors who formed a new company based in Gilroy, California.Three models were made during this era:Scout / Spirit: These were the ''small'' bikes which used a common frame and S&S engine. The Scout was ''sporty'', while Spirit targeted light touring.The Chief was the flagship bike. It had its own larger chassis, and was powered by the first new Indian proprietary engine in 50 years, the Power Plus 100.

 2003 Indian Spirit Roadmaster!  This unique cruiser is a special "Roadmaster" edition, comes with floor boards, saddlebags, and passenger backrest. Features deluxe oval headlight, ignition cover, and fender details, this bike has beautiful red and black paint in excellent shape! Bike has Vance and Hines pipes for a nice mellow exhaust note, wide California handlebars for a comfortable ride, and a working, illuminated Indian head fender ornament!

The bike has only had one original owner with 1,120 miles on it. The ROADMASTER Model included a Passenger Backrest and SaddleBags all with the ROADMASTER Logo. This Indian is finished in the optional two-tone paint of Chrome Yellow and Pearl White.
