Suzuki SV tech info

Suzuki SV description
TIRED OF DEALING WITH DISTRACTED DRIVERS and other asshats? Would you rather ride as fast as you are able, only limited by your skill and ability? If you're tired of looking for decent roads to ride on, investigate the world of track days and motorcycle racing- the SV650 is a great bike for both.
Tracks are great- everybody's going in the same direction, there's no speed traps, nobody's going to pull out from the side street or intersection, the only speed limit is your own- which only grows through experience. There's also great camaraderie at the track and if you do happen to lay it down, there are rarely obstacles in your way to hit and most tracks have decent run-off area. If you have an injury where you can't make it on your own, the meatwagon is on standby already. Best of all, it doesn't take all the queen's silver to make it happen. So, in spite of all the positives, I'm moving on in my weekend quests as I've found sliding on my ass is probably NOT what this grandad needs to be doing these days. Yes this bike is not a garage queen and has had a few low sides- most courtesy of turns 1 and 4 at VIR... That said, it's rock solid mechanically, has all the goodies and is a great mount if you're ready to learn how to ride a bike through the corners. The bodywork is pretty tired but still very functional. I've found that if you don't put it down every now and then, you're simply not trying to learn hard enough. Since I've owned it beginning in 2007 its seen 20 odd track days and three race weekends with a couple of podiums at CCS events to boot. Details are as follows: 2003 with 2005 engine (the tranny failed on the original and easier to swap out the original vs repairing it. Engine courtesy of Speedwerks in Dover, DE) Woodcraft Clip-ons Yoyodyne Slipper Clutch EBC pads (front only- I have no idea what's on the back as they are rarely used...) Russel stainless rear line and Kevlar lines on front. Renthal grips Scott steering stabilizer Penske Double click rear shock Brand New Dunlap D211 GP's Cheetah race bodywork safety wired M4 full exhuast Power Commander ECU Also included: Pit Bull Front and Rear stands extra front and rear wheels- both in great shape and used to swap out whenever I got new meats original clutch various Vortex front and rear sprockets in addition to an extra rear sprocket hub four clip ons and probably a half dozen brake/clutch levers. NOTE!!!!!! Though the title is clear- it is not in my hands. The original owner was military who sold it to me prior to being transferred, couldn't find it at the time and promised to forward it to me. Needless to say it never happened but with the low investment I never really worried about it after checking the VIN database it make sure it wasn't stolen. I expect this will be an issue for most, but if you never plan on putting it on the street (why would you want to...?) it should never come up until you're in my situation and want to sell it. Also, I have no idea how many miles are really on it- the speedo is disconnected as it's a distraction anyway, but regardless, the motor runs great with no leaks and no smoke. I can forward a video of it being started cold if you'd like. Overall it's a strong running bike ready to hit the track. It's set up for 220 lbs- but even with my weight I could overtake my buddy on his Gen 2 SV- and about 50 lbs lighter. The bike is located in VA Beach, VA- auction is for pick up only, but I can physically assist loading if you buy it and want to use a shipping service like UShip. Feel free to ask questions, and thanks for looking! |

2014 AMA Supercross – Anaheim 1 Results
Mon, 06 Jan 2014KTM rookie Ken Roczen captured his first 450 class win in the AMA Supercross world championship, taking the season opener at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, Calif. An audience of 45,050 fans watched a clean race from the rookie while errors by veterans like James Stewart and three-time reigning champion Ryan Villopoto knocked them out of contention. Villopoto had a strong start, taking the holeshot and leading the first eight laps, just like the Kawasaki rider had done so often the last few seasons.
2024 Suzuki GSX-8R Review – First Ride
Tue, 14 May 2024A middleweight sporty-bike without the backache Photos: Kevin Wing As I write this, in the year 2024, it’s dawned on me that there’s a whole generation of adults that have little to no memory of September 11, 2001. Some weren’t even alive yet, and those who were were too young to remember. One of, if not the, defining moment for my generation is just a page in a history book for today’s young adults, just as December 7, 1941 was for me.
Stoner Blows Away Competition on Final Day of MotoGP Sepang Test
Thu, 02 Feb 2012To be the man, you have to beat the man, and after the final day of MotoGP’s pre-season test in Malaysia, Repsol Honda‘s Casey Stoner continues to be the man. The reigning MotoGP World Champion didn’t let lingering soreness from the back problems that sidelined him for the first day of testing at Sepang slow him down. On just his second of 21 laps on the final day, Stoner set a blistering lap time of 1:59.607, besting second-fastest rider Jorge Lorenzo by 0.591 seconds. While there’s still some room for improvement to be found his Honda RC213V, Stoner will turn things over to the engineers and fly back home to Switzerland to his wife Adriana for the birth of their first child.
