Suzuki RM description

I purchased this 1984 Suzuki RM250 from a co-worker. He purchased it in 1984 from the Suzuki dealer in town. He only rode it in the Ocala National Forest a hand full of times. The guy was a seat rider, because the brake and clutch lever were so high on the bars that if he stood up his wrist couldnt have been able to bend at that angle to work them. This motorcycle has never seen a track or has been wrecked. It has spent its entire 30 years inside his home. This is in original factory condition, NEVER restored. From the wear on the original nobbie tires there can't be anymore than 10 hrs. on this machine. The only thing wrong with it when I bought it was the oil plug was stripped on it. I found a 14mm oversized oil plug and a rubber washer and just snugged the plug down and it does NOT leak. The bike fired right up and I rode it across my yard a couple of times. It has as much cylinder compression as it did the day it rolled out of the showroom. The only parts that are not original are the hand guards, brand new Uni air filter(original dry rotted from age) and the fender brace. There are no dents in the exhuast pipe. The chain and sprocket are the original. Not a single bolt or nut has been broke loose on the motor. I took close ups of the tires to show how little they are worn and not dry rotted.I CANT find any scratches in the plastics. There are NO scratches or gouges in the swingarm or rims. There is NO rust on the bike. There is NOT any paint that has flaked off of the motor, its as black as the day it was painted.  This motorcycle is now kept inside my home, free from the elements. The buyer will get the original paperwork from when it was purchased in 1984 from the dealer, a clear title and the owners manual. This is a like new 1984 RM250. The condition of this bike is so immaculate, that it belongs in an MX museum or someone's collection. Or, if you choose to race it,I believe it will qualify for vintage mx next year(2014).Dont think you will find a newer(original) 1984 RM for sale in the USA.If you win this auction, you will be blown away by the shape it is in.I was speachless when I saw it for the first time. It's that nice!  I have done my best to give you some background and detailed discription of this machine. I am a very honest man who believes in treating people the way I would like to be treated (meaning not lied to or mislead). I will answer all of your questions honestly and to the best of my ability.I will not be running this auction long or reducing the price until it sells. So if your wanting a new 1984 RM250,you might not want to wait too long.I will just continue to sit on it as I am not hurting for money. Please do not inquire unless you are seriously interested in bidding.Thank you for looking!

Nissan Juke R VS. Suzuki GSX-R1000 – Video

Tue, 30 Jul 2013

Car versus bike stories have been done countless times before. But for me, being a fan of both forms of transportation, I still get a kick out of them every time. This latest contest, from British outfit Car Dealer Magazine, pits a standard 2013 Suzuki GSX-R1000 against a very unique four-wheeler: a Nissan Juke R.

Moto3. Recession racers?

Mon, 08 Nov 2010

I've sat through enough manufacturer' presentations recently to know that we're in trouble. Ignoring the still booming Asian markets, the rest of the motorcycle World is in free-fall. Even looking at the figures optimistically we're still only selling half the volumes we were in pre-crash 2006.
