For sale is what has to be the nicest lowest hour 1991 Suzuki RM250 Motocross bike you are going to find.  I bought this bike from the original owner. He bought it new back in 1991 and when he was 53 years old, and said he only rode it on some local fire roads, maybe 5 times. He estimated it has "much less than 10, maybe 12" total riding hours. It is in really nice shape, and about as close to brand new as it gets. It has not been restored or touched up in any way, other than just washed and wiped down. But even that was minimal!

It pains me to sell this, but I just have many bikes and want to trim down the heard, so to speak.

Here are some notes on the condition:
  • The bike is just about near perfect, all original condition. 
  • Clutch pull feels like butter.
  • Throttle is still snappy, just like a new bike from the showroom.
  • Original Bars, grips, levers, seat cover (which is perfect), fenders. 
  • It is really a mint condition motorcycle. 
  • Everything looks and feels brand new on it.  
  • The frame has very little boot wear marks. All plastic is original and still shines. 
  • All warning labels are still on bike.
  • Still has OEM kick stand (which is ugly).
  • Title in hand.
  • Some small skuffs on the kick start side number plate from when the bike fell over in an earthquake. Not very noticeable though.
  • The previous owner said he never dropped or crashed the bike at all. I fully believe him from the lack or marks on levers and grips and plastic.
About the only bad thing I can note is that the OEM decals from the side number plates and the rad shrouds have been removed. Those decals were very busy, and the previous owner said he did not like how they looked. I wish he had left them on the bike, but oh well.  The shroud decals are still showing as available from Suzuki. I also had some made up, and they are close to stock, but not perfect. I will include the ones I had made up as well. Also the kill switch is held on by blue zip ties. The guy told me he was cleaning the bike and lost the mounting bracket. I was too lazy to order a new one and it did not bother me that much.

Aside from that, the bike is in VERY, VERY good condition. It has been ridden around, but not in the dirt and not in a way that damaged anything more than just some super light scuffs and small knicks in the plastic. Everything feels like brand new on this machine. 

Please look closely at photos. Also check my other listing, as I am selling a 1989 RM80 that is in the same condition as this bike - basically brand new.

In case you are wondering anything about me as a seller, I have been on eBay since 1998 (thats 16 years) and have not one negative feedback. I am just a nut for older dirt bikes and ATV's from the 1980's. See my other listings for some more of my stuff, but I doubt I will get around to listing all of them.

Shipping: 
I suggest you use Daily Direct for transport. Their phone number is 888-haulbikes, and they are professionals with a strong track record of moving expensive and nice motorcycles. I also have some other shipping options as well, and some that are much cheaper than you might think, so hit me up with any questions, but Daily Direct is very good, and offers door to door roll on and roll off service and they are insured.

I can and will ship international, but the buyer must coordinate this, as the process can be cumbersome. I will assist as best as possible and do have really good access to shippers to the UK, Europe  and Australia. I can also ship to the middle east as well.

Payment: 
A $500 non refundable deposit is due within 24 hours of closing, or a friendly phone call or clear email on who you are and how you intend to close the deal. I am very easy to work with, but a little clear communication goes a long way with me. Paypal is fine for deposit, but the fee and commission they take is very high.  Cash is preferred, but we will take payment however is easiest for you for to send, as we understand that some buyers might be out of the country. Cash, wire transfer, bank check, Paypal, WU, Carrier Pidgin - whatever - but as long as it clears our bank and you are not playing the Nigerian lottery with me, I could care less how it comes.

Suzuki to Trim US Powersports Dealership Network

When American Suzuki announced it was shutting down its automobile business, the company said it intended to focus on its powersports operations. It comes as a surprise then to some dealers that Suzuki is not renewing all of its dealership agreements. According to DealerNews, dealerships received letters this week from American Suzuki notifying them whether their franchise agreements would be renewed with the newly formed Suzuki Motor America.

2014 AMA Supercross – Phoenix Results

Kawasaki‘s Ryan Villopoto nabbed a hard-earned first victory of the 2014 AMA Supercross season, overcoming a poor start that saw him ninth after the first lap for the win. The three-time reigning champion found himself well back after the first corner as Yoshimura Suzuki‘s Jake Moss took the holeshot ahead of Yamaha‘s Justin Brayton and the KTM‘s Ryan Dungey. Brayton took over the lead by the second corner and would stay in front for the first 13 laps.
