Suzuki RM description

Selling my 1979 Suzuki RM125 dirt bike.
Bike is pretty much completely rebuilt and hasn't seen dirt since.
Motor has about 2 hours on it, mostly from tuning, carb tuned purely for power on the top end.
Please ignore the mileage in the specifics, the mileage is unknown.

I have the pink in my name, registration and new sticker until june 2017 paid for and in my possession.

- Top end bored, honed and rebuilt with a Wiseco 1.5mm oversize racing piston and rings.
- Bottom end split, inspected and had all oil seals replaced.
- New Mikuni carburetor tuned for top end power.
- All new gaskets and seals used in engine rebuild.
- New Progressive Suspension shocks and springs at the rear.
- Front forks fully rebuilt, including new valves and seals.
- New front fork boots.
- New ball bearings and dust seals at triple tree.
- Wheels have been restored, sprayed and rebuilt, including new spoke sets front and rear.
- New wheel bearings front and rear.
- New Michelin AC10 tires front and rear.
- Sprockets chrome polished.
- New chain sprocket cover.
- New throttle cable.
- New handlebar grips.
- New rear brake cable and brake pedal spring.
- New rear brake pivoting arm.
- New UNI air filter, filter housing missing top cover.
- Fairings have been freshly painted, tank has had some reaction as shown.
- New Suzuki standard decals.

Many of the new parts used are some of the last to be found in the country, this is an excellent example of a clean RM125.

Numerous other items, can't think of them all, this has been an enjoyable project but I'm unexpectedly moving away so it needs to go.

Classic bike that's ready to ride for the summer.

Hit me up for any more info you want on the bike, or if you want to come take a look at it.
Prefer to have this picked up in person only, no shipping. Located CA 90805.
Open to reasonable offers.

Harley’s Ed Krawiec is 2011 NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle Champ

Mon, 14 Nov 2011

Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle/Vance & Hines rider Ed Krawiec is the 2011 NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle world champion. Krawiec clinched the title with a second-round win at the Automobile Club of Southern California NHRA Finals at Auto Club Raceway that eliminated Lucas Oil Buell rider Hector Arana Jr., the only rider in the field with a chance to overtake Krawiec for the championship. Krawiec advanced to the final round and lost to his Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle/Vance & Hines teammate Andrew Hines, who finished the season third in points. More from Harley-Davidson on Krawiec’s win: “I think this is really a statement on the season, to end it with an all-Harley final and the championship, and with Willie G.

When last we heard from California racer John Hopkins, the former MotoGP racer announced he would return to British Superbike racing after being out of action for nearly two years due to various injuries. With the 2014 BSB season starting in April, Hopkins spoke with Suzuki’s official racing website to provide an update on his impending return with the Tyco Suzuki team. Hopkins says he has been practicing on a motocross track and is close to a deal with the Yoshimura Suzuki AMA team to test on a Gixxer.
