Results From Day 1 Of Second Sepang MotoGP Test

With the absence of Marc Marquez from the second Sepang MotoGP test, due to a broken leg suffered in a training accident, another Honda rider took his place at the top of the time sheets, though it’s not who you might think. Alvaro Bautista on the Gresini Honda set the fastest time at the end of the first day with a 2:00.848. The time is 1.3 second slower than the fastest time Marquez set at the last Sepang test.

Kevin Schwantz Tests Suzuki MotoGP Bike at COTA

Former World Champion and Texas native Kevin Schwantz joined the Suzuki MotoGP team at Circuit of the Americas to test its new racebike. Schwantz, who won the 1993 500cc World Championship with Suzuki, joined test riders Randy de Puniet and Nobuastu Aoki in riding the new prototype which is set to enter the MotoGP championship in 2015. Suzuki unveiled a new 1462cc touring cruiser at the  2012 Intermot show in Cologne, Germany. The Intruder C1500T comes with broad windscreen, footboards and ABS plastic saddlebags. The 2013 Suzuki Intruder C1500T is powered by a 1462cc liquid-cooled 54-degree V-Twin engine Suzuki claims is the most powerful engine in the 1000cc-1600cc cruiser class.
