This is a vintage Suzuki moped. 1981 Suzuki Fz50. A few thousand of these were made from 1978 to 1981. Very few are still out there. This 1 needs some t.l.c. but it does run very well and is very rideable. I bought this as a project, but have to let it go due to some unforseen financial challenges. Gotta take my hat off to the engineers at Suzuki...this moped is almost 34yrs old, and it still starts on the 1st kick!I know this scooter could be worth quite a bit more than I'm asking, but I need to sell it a.s.a.p.For someone who can put a hundred or so dollars into this moped, it could be a very valuable vintage moped.350.00 o.b.o. 2014 Suzuki V-Strom 650 Recalled for Defective Drive Chain
Wed, 04 Jun 2014Suzuki Motor of America announced a recall on the 2014 V-Strom 650 ABS because of a problem with the drive chain. As of this writing, the recall campaign has not been posted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, but we expect this to be done shortly. Meanwhile north of the border, a similar recall has been announced for the 2014 Suzuki GSX650FA by Transport Canada describing a similar problem.
