Suzuki Other description

Your Beautiful Suzuki Burgman 400 cc & 650 cc or your Honda Silverwing  can become a whole new DREAM RIDE with the added safety and utility with this deluxe RICHLAND ROADSTER brand Trike Conversion Kit with modern styling.     It comes complete with a confidence-inspiring relaxed ride and so many standard impressive features.   You'll find yourself riding so much more often,  no doubt,  and taking longer road trips too,   because you'll use much less of your physical energy.

This smooth ride is the result of incorporating SIDE CAR technology into the RICHLAND ROADSTER suspension...    which means each side is independent, as if you had left side and right side mounted side cars...    and if you run up on a curb or uneven pavement all wheels will remain on the ground.    Patented High Performance Energy Suppression Bushings in conjunction with forward mounted torsion bars help provide the road flattening flex you need to achieve this kind of smooth responsive experience.   The fact is...   after I told a customer about this he installed just one side of his RICHLAND ROADSTER and headed out with his friends on a poker run charity ride.   UH...  He was running late, as usual of course.   All worked just fine with one side installed and it didn't bother him at all that his friends were snickering...  however when the police stopped him and insisted on administering a field sobriety test he realized he needed to consider installing the complete kit.  His wife was very pleased about that, without question.

This sale does not include the bike.  It's for the RICHLAND ROADSTER Trike Conversion Kit only,  that comes standard with 13 inch 40,000 mile automotive tires and custom 5 spoke polished aluminum wheels at no extra charge...  (not the small 8" or 12" cheap training wheel type trailer tires and wheels that makes your bike remind you of that kid in Jr. High with the big ears!!! ... uh... don't laugh... I was that kid!). It also comes complete with a lighting system that features LED lights including  brake lights,  running lights,  turn signals,  and fender recess mounted head lights,  and also with a wiring harness that clips quickly into your bike's electrical system allowing for greater visibility and safety on the road.   Remember, LED lights use the least amount of energy so your bike's factory electrical system should be more than sufficient.    And with LED lights...  everybody will be able to see you coming and going that much the better.   Again...  this is standard...  there is no extra charge for these lighting features.   Of course the thing to remember is this unit is a KIT.  It's a foundation upon which to build.  There may be adjustments or alterations needed to accommodate your motorcycle or personal tastes.

The Automotive quality base coat / clear coat 2 stage paint is color matched... even two toned... to your factory color so it will seem like a factory installation on your bike and not an incidental add on.  This will not be paint from the manufacturer because they want way too much for that...  it's matched with a color chip at the automotive paint supplier.  It's the matching paint that gives this RICHLAND ROADSTER  Trike  Conversion Kit the custom look that enhances your bike to it's full potential.  Just email your photos of your bike, and if you can find them, the Factory Color Codes and we can get to work. Take special care to look at your photos and confirm they truly represent the color you want.  Sometimes lighting or other factors can distort colors in photos.   To be perfectly clear...  this painting is included as a courtesy...  there is no charge for this feature either!!!  Other manufactures will send you only primered or,  for an extra charge,  black fenders.

And the RICHLAND ROADSTER quickly detaches because it does not alter your bike's factory suspension. (unlike some brands that require you to remove and replace your rear axle... and leaves an ugly belly pan in place.... GOOD GRIEF!!! It reminds me of taking the back cover off a wrist watch when we were kids to see how it worked only to watch the small parts explode all over.  If you have ever removed a rear axle you know what I'm talking about.)   It only takes about 15 minutes to detach using a 9/16" wrench and you unplug the electrical wiring harness.  The only evidence remaining on your bike is the short electrical connection plug.  As you can see in the photos you can add a hitch just for the asking and customize it to your liking with lighting and custom features of your choosing.    OH...   I almost forgot to mention the running boards..  These are magnificent and makes it very safe and easy for getting on and off... and you won't accidently put your foot down and have the trike kit run you over. I just hate it when that happens!!! If you are riding with the love of your life this could rekindle your romantic love life.  Just last year a customer credited the RICHLAND ROADSTER with the conception of their seventh child...  now they are asking me for child support.  HEY...  Does that seem right to you???

If you would like more information or if you want to arrange a test ride call me, I'm JOHNNY RAY RICHLAND and my number is  352 567 1985.   Don't be bashful...  go ahead and call.  I keep my cell phone in my front shirt pocket and I always answer...  unless I'm taking a nap or I'm in Church.  Or if I'm in Church napping...  Pastor Mike just about has gotten used to that.  This price of $3590 is just about $1500 less than comparable kits because you are buying directly from the manufacturer...  who just happen to be Authentic Country Boys in Florida.  You know that's SMART.  No dealer mark-up.   However, that savings is a double edged sword.  Because of the custom nature of the build, all sales are final, returns are not accepted.  Warranty work is performed in our Florida Facility only and shipping is not included.  Pick up, (because I enjoy a good road trip) installation,  and return delivery if your bike is in Florida or South Georgia can be arranged for only $1.00 a loaded mile or shipping in most areas of the country is about $250.00, Business to Business. Now that's REASONABLE!!!  Keep in mind the freight companies charge an additional $100 to deliver to your home.    Of course you can see more pictures, installation instructions, terms, conditions, policies, and a heck of a lot more information, at the RICHLAND ROADSTER web site at richlandroadster.com.   I'm looking forward to hearing from you soon. Thanks!!!

Schwantz and Mackenzie on the Nurburgring box

Mon, 10 Dec 2012

A 500GP bike never fails to stop me in my tracks and that’s exactly what happened when I spotted this Schwantz example from the early nineties, proudly displayed on the Arai stand at the recent Motorcyclelive show.  On loan from Crescent Suzuki and accompanied by a rostrum publicity shot from the 1990 German GP at the Nurburgring, I felt the urge to write a few words on that special weekend. I started the year running my own 250 GP team with fairly standard TZ Yamahas but was drafted in as Kevin Schwantz’s team mate after Kevin Magee suffered a serious head injury at the second Grand Prix in Laguna Seca.  With no testing and some major Spanish food poisoning I finished 8th at the next round in Jerez then followed that up with a 5th place in Misano. Next up was the Nurburgring and after qualifying on the second row of the grid, my crew chief Geoff Crust informed me he had a premonition of a race day rostrum finish. He also told me I better make it come true as he was already looking forward to a few post race celebratory refreshments. While I hoped Crusty was the new mystic meg, the truth was I would have been more than happy to buy the beers if I made it to the flag inside the top five. I had an outside chance of catching one major scalp as Wayne Rainey was riding with a nasty hand injury but I suspected adrenalin would see him through the day. I also followed Mick Doohan a fair bit in practice but he was beginning to find his feet on the Rothmans Honda so was going to be another problem.  When the lights went out Schwantz and Rainey went straight to the front I while I hung in behind Doohan and Pier Francesco Chilli, and then it happened. Coming out of the bottom right hand hairpin, Doohan and Chilli simultaneously high sided in one of the most spectacular crashes of the season. I never liked seeing any fellow riders crash but I made the most of this early race gift and rode my 160bhp/115kg RGV hard to the flag, claiming my first podium of the season.  We partied hard (win or lose we always did) that night and I went on to have my best ever season finishing fourth overall in the championship. After the last round in Australia, I finished second to Kevin at Sugo in Japan then won in Malaysia at another international race that KS didn’t attend. I also tested at Eastern Creek for the following season but then was flicked from the team for reasons that still remain a mystery. Hey Ho!
