Fresh paint, tank has no rust, tank chrome in great shape, rebuilt OEM petcock, NOS badges, new seat cover and foam, NOS grips, NOS cables, NOS chrome rims, spokes and nipples, new tires and tubes, new brakes front and rear, forks have been rebuilt, new rear shocks, complete engine rebuild including pistons, rings, seals, clutch plates, carbs ultrasonically cleaned with NOS floats and full rebuild kits, new points and condensers, pipes are in great shape, etc. Too many items to list in this restoration. This is the bike that eluded me in my teens. After restoring and enjoying the bike it is time to pass it along to someone who will enjoy it as much as I did.

KTM rookie Ken Roczen captured his first 450 class win in the AMA Supercross world championship, taking the season opener at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, Calif. An audience of 45,050 fans watched a clean race from the rookie while errors by veterans like James Stewart and three-time reigning champion Ryan Villopoto knocked them out of contention. Today the motorcycle press descended upon the Long Beach Convention Center to attend media day at the annual International Motorcycle Show. After feasting from a continental breakfast buffet the discerning journalists set to the task of reporting on the bounty of new model motorcycles – most of which has been previously showcased in our November EICMA reporting. Suzuki Recursion Concept – Turbocharged 588cc Claims 99 hp and 74 ft-lb.

Suzuki has released new images of its turbocharged Recursion concept. Revealed at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show, the Recursion, along with Kawasaki’s supercharged inline-Four engine herald a return to forced induction motorcycles last commonly seen in the ’80s. According to Suzuki, the Recursion’s 588cc parallel-Twin engine with an intercooler turbo produces 99 hp at 8000 rpm while also claiming 74 ft-lb.

New Photos and Video of Suzuki Extrigger Electric Monkey Bike Concept

Suzuki has released new photographs of the Extrigger, the company’s electric minibike recently unveiled at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show. Suzuki also released a video of the Extrigger in action, though oddly the audio seems to have been left off. A potential electric competitor to the Honda Grom or Kawasaki‘s mini-supermoto KSR Pro, the Extrigger is powered by the same 580 W AC synchronous motor that propels Suzuki’s e-Let’s scooter.

46,061 Motorcycles Stolen in US in 2012

An average of 126 motorcycles were stolen in the U.S. every day in 2012, according to a report released by the the National Insurance Crime Bureau. That’s from a total of 46,061 motorcycles reported stolen that year a 1.3% improvement from the 46,667 motorcycles reported stolen in 2011.
