Suzuki Concludes MotoGP Test At Phillip Island
Thu, 05 Jun 2014The Suzuki MotoGP team concluded its three-day test at Phillip Island in Australia today after rain and less-than-perfect track conditions hampered much of the progress the riders and technicians hoped to make. Test rider Randy De Puniet was joined by Voltcom Crescent Suzuki World Superbike rider Eugene Laverty for the first two days; unfortunately suffering a crash early on the first day due to the slippery and damp conditions. However the Irishman was able to complete 37 laps yesterday despite inclement weather that halted much of the testing on every day; and which included a large amount of geese on the circuit obstructing every session.
Suzuki Pushes MotoGP Return Back to 2015

The bad news is the Japanese manufacturer announced it is delaying its MotoGP return for another year, now targeting a comeback for the 2015 season. When Suzuki first announced its withdrawal from the MotoGP championship in 2011, the plan was to return for the 2014 season.
Suzuki to Close Spanish Motorcycle Factory
Tue, 06 Nov 2012The digital ink is still wet on news of American Suzuki declaring bankruptcy and shutting down its car business to focus on powersports and marine products, and now there’s more bad news for the Japanese manufacturer. Suzuki announced it will close its motorcycle factory in Gijón, Spain, in March, 2013, shutting the company’s sole European production plant. The factory has been producing motorcycles and scooters for Suzuki since 1984, with the manufacturer taking 100% ownership of the factory.
