Hang-On Arcade Game Creator Honored

If you grew up in the ’80s and spent some a lot of time in arcades, you’re probably familiar with the game “Hang-On”. Released in 1985 by Sega Enterprises, motorcycle racing game  “Hang-On” broke ground by using a motorcycle-shaped seat as a controller. Players raced a virtual motorcycle on a track, leaning on the plastic motorcycle to steer the in-game bike.

Marco Melandri earned BMW its second ever World Superbike victory to move into second place in the championship standings behind Max Biaggi in the series’ only stop in the United States. Melandri won a red-flagged Race Two at Utah’s Miller Motorsports Park after finishing second to defending WSBK Champion Carlos Checa in Race One to give him 142.5 points on the season, tied with Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes but behind Aprilia‘s Biaggi who leads the way with 160.5 points. Donington Park in the United Kingdom is one of the most unique racetracks on the World Superbike calendar. With wide, fast, sweeping corners combined with tight chicanes and road undulations, the track is challenging for many riders. Here, climb on board with Giuliano Rovelli as he pilots a Suzuki GSX-R1000 around the track with several Nilox cameras mounted for a bevy of different angles.
