Suzuki Other description

2005 SV650 Adventure Bike 12,000+ miles.

Extensive modifications to allow use in off-road conditions. Standard SV650 engine with 5000 miles on rebuilt engine, replaced main bearings. YZ 2001 MX forks with about 9+ inches of travel and Hyabusa rear shock and modified knuckle for 8+ inches of rear travel. Engine and oil cooler are protected by an aluminum rock guard. A steel crash guard has been added to protect the radiator in case of tip over. Spitfire Windshield added for protection during hi-speed travel on the highway. Rear rack has replaced the passenger seat for added storage on longer trips. Delkevic slipon aftermarket exhaust. Tires are Pirelli Scorpion Rally rear and Pirelli MT21 front and Shinko 705 front and rear tires included. Both sets of tires are in good shape with about 2500 miles on each set. Steering range is limited due to location of radiator but does not cause any issues.

Overall this is a great bike for gravel roads and even 2-track with pretty technical terrain. Fuel mileage ranges from 45 to 55 MPG depending on usage. With a 4 gallon tank the range is up to 200 miles. The SV650 twin is smooth on the road and very nice in more technical situations also. This bike has the same engine as the DL650 but a more aggressive power band with 70 HP. Weight is about 400 lbs empty.

Wanna Take Your Bike for a Spin Across the Lake?

Sat, 01 Nov 2008

If you’re anything like me you’ve spent hundreds of hours dreaming of the time you could ride a motorcycle across the water – perhaps even take a scenic ride to the Caribbean. Anybody…hello…Bueller? OK, I’ve never actually thought about it before in my life, but somebody has.

Former 500cc World Champion, Kevin Schwantz, will pair with former Japanese Champion, Satoshi Tsujimoto, in this year’s Suzuka 8-Hour race. The duo originally tackled Suzuka together in 1986, ultimately coming in third position. Now the two are back in celebration of Yoshimura’s 60th anniversary, as part of the company’s “Legend Team.” Yoshimura will also field a second entry with former Australian Champion Josh Waters and All Japan Superbike rider Takuya Tsuda.

2021 MO Middleweight Naked Bike Shootout - Six Bikes!

Tue, 15 Jun 2021

Six motorcycles, one winner Credit: Photos by Evans Brasfield | Videos by Sean Matic We last performed this public service in 2017, when your Yamaha FZ-07 prevailed over the Kawasaki Z650, Suzuki SV650, the new Harley-Davidson Street Rod, and the new and indeterminate Benelli TnT 600, in that order. The FZ-07 has since morphed into the MT-07 amidst a host of well thought-out upgrades in 2018, and then again for 2021. The Z650 got a modern instrument pod in 2020 with a few other tasteful refinements, and the SV650 hasn’t changed a bit (God bless it).
