The 996 cc displacement 90* V-twin motorcycles are aimed to compete directly with the Honda SuperHawk, which was released prior to the Suzuki, and the low end Ducati one-litre V-twin engine sport bikes. The SV1000 is the big brother to the popular 650 cc SV650 motorcycle. The SV1000 shares many common parts with the SV650, including all bodywork (front fairing, fuel tank and rear plastics-subframe), but the main frame, handle bars, swingarm and forks are different. The front forks and brakes are sourced from the earlier GSX-R600. 2012 Suzuki Inazuma 250 Announced for UK
Mon, 21 Nov 2011Suzuki announced the European version of its GW250 “Baby B-King” entry-level naked where it will be sold as the Inazuma 250. Unveiled at the NEC Show in the U.K., the 2012 Suzuki Inazuma 250 brings back the name Suzuki used for its GSX naked models. Like the larger displacement GSXs however, the new, littlest Inazuma does not appear to be coming to North America.
Suzuki Concludes MotoGP Test At Phillip Island
Thu, 05 Jun 2014The Suzuki MotoGP team concluded its three-day test at Phillip Island in Australia today after rain and less-than-perfect track conditions hampered much of the progress the riders and technicians hoped to make. Test rider Randy De Puniet was joined by Voltcom Crescent Suzuki World Superbike rider Eugene Laverty for the first two days; unfortunately suffering a crash early on the first day due to the slippery and damp conditions. However the Irishman was able to complete 37 laps yesterday despite inclement weather that halted much of the testing on every day; and which included a large amount of geese on the circuit obstructing every session.
