Suzuki Other description

Up for bid, is my  1991 Suzuki TS200RM.  To the best of my knowledge this bike is a 1991 based on the VIN check I used online and was never sold in America.

This bike was a pure barn find. The owner provided me with a Maryland MVA document that goes with bike.

This bike is a street legal model and has all lights, horn, and speedometer.

I have spent time working on the bike and thoroughly cleaning the carb.

Since getting the bike about a month ago, I have added;
New Moose Handlebars
Motion Pro Throttle
Motion Pro half waffle grips
New fuel petcock and fuel line
New Twin Air dual stage filter
New UFO Front fender
New rear turn signals

This bike is two stroke, with oil injection!
Disc Brakes, front and rear.
Inverted forks
Headlight
turn signals
***Forgot to add , liquid cooled engine***
removable rear passenger foot pegs

This is a very rare bike, from all that I have read.

The ignition in the bike is punched and needs to be replaced, if you choose to. It starts and runs without it.
Gas cap works, but key hole is damaged.

The bike is a kick start and runs well. It seems to have a little sputter in low range, which may be spark plug or carb settings. I will continue to work on this bike during bidding to correct any problems I find. The bike will need new tires, due to cracking. They both hold air and I have ridden on them, with little or no problems. They are just old.
The rear suspension is nice and soft. The plastics and paint show their age, but every thing is solid. Just aged.
I have a new seat cover for a Husaberg that will fit, if the buyer wants it. Also, I have mirrors I can throw in, if you want them.

I will do whatever needs to be done, to insure a square deal with no problems.

By the way, I am selling this bike because it is a new found passion of mine to find old bike, get them running and then sell them to make a small profit.

If you want this bike shipped, you will have to make all arrangements.

I am going to post what picture I have and plan to post more soon.

As of today, the bike has 10003 km, or 6215 mi, which I believe are actual.

This bike is not titled and I am not sure what it would take to get it titled. I do have a Maryland MVA document for the bike, signed by the Prince Georges County Police.

I will provide a bill of sale to the winning bidder.

I do not know what all it takes to get it titled.

8/29/13- Update- just finished riding it a few minutes ago and forgot to add that the front brake resovoir needs to be replaced or rebuilt. It seems to be seized at the handle. Typically, you can by rebuild kit for the resovoirs.

This bike will be sold as is, with no promises, guarantees, or warranties.

I hope this is what you are looking for! It could be a great dual sport or enduro racer!

On Aug-30-13 at 10:06:37 PDT, seller added the following information:

8/30/13- Update- Forgot to add, bike has Mikuni TM series carb. It could probably use hot tanked or rebuild.

Also the Maryland MVA form I have says, " Certificate of Authority" "To dispose, of an abandoned motor vehicle to an automotive dismantler and recycler or scrap processor." This is an original copy certified by Prince Georges County Police, also in 2004.

I have tracked the ownership of the bike as far back as 2004 from Ted's Towing in Accokeek Md.

Because I am unsure of what it will take to get titled or registered I have lowered the reserve by $200. Good luck!

On Sep-01-13 at 08:18:57 PDT, seller added the following information:

9/1/13- I lowered the reserve another $100 today. I would think that whoever wins he bidding, will at some point may want a new carb! An extra $100 in your pocket could got towards parts and repairs. (Plus my wife made me)

2012 Suzuki V-Strom 650 ABS Intro

Fri, 04 Nov 2011

Suzuki invited a select group of moto-jounalists to the Blue Ridge Mountains this week to sample the 2012 V-Stom 650 ABS. The mildly reworked mid-size adventure-tourer proved itself to be an upgraded version of the popular original model. During the two-day test we rode paved two-lane byways and a few dirt road segments.

Piaggio, Suzuki Hit with Fines by CARB

Mon, 01 Apr 2013

The California Air Resources Board has agreed to settlements with Suzuki and Piaggio for selling motorcycles that the companies did not disclose could be modified to exceed the state’s strict emission standards. Suzuki was hit with the larger of the two penalties, agreeing to a fine of $3,020,000, though the amount could be reduced by $1,812,000 if Suzuki follows certain provisions. The penalty is in addition to the previous fine of $885,000 levied by the Environmental Protection Agency for selling 25,396 LT-R450 ATVs and 62 RMX450Z dirtbikes with a racing map programmed into their ECUs that was not certified or tested. This racing map is not initially accessible to customers, unless they buy aftermarket devices to unlock the higher-performance engine mapping.

2013 AMA Supercross Houston Race Report

Mon, 08 Apr 2013

Ryan Villopoto captured his fifth-consecutive AMA Supercross win and sixth in seven rounds with a victory in the main event at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas. The Monster Energy Kawasaki rider passed holeshot-taker Mike Alessi on the opening lap and led the rest of the way for the win. Alessi, riding the Motoconcepts Racing Suzuki RM-Z450, remained in the hunt for the first few laps but soon gave way to a group including Team Honda Muscle Milk’s Trey Canard, Red Bull KTM‘s Ryan Dungey and Yoshimura Suzuki’s James Stewart.
