1985 Suzuki RG500 located in Santa Ana, California. Bike has 11,722 KM = 7033 Miles on it. Engine ran o k when we purchased the bike about 1 year ago. The carbs to be cleaned now. The upper and lower fairings are cracked. The wheels on the bike are Campagnolo Magnesium. Wheels are period correct for this bike and are the same wheels used on the racers. The wheels alone are worth between $1500.00-$2000.00. A new set costs about $3500.00. Bike also has a Daytona steering damper on it. We don't have a title for this bike. Bike is sold with a bill of sale only. Ask questions and look at the pictures carefully before you bid. Bike is sold as is, no returns. Buyer to arrange the shipping. Local pick up is ok. Suzuki GSX-R1000 Sportbike Gets New VVT System
Tue, 29 Jan 2019Suzuki has adopted the SR-VVT (Suzuki Racing Variable Valve Timing) system on the 2017 GSX-R1000. A centrifugal drive system is integrated into the intake gear and adjacent guide plate. It features 12 steel balls and slant grooves to rotate and synchronize the intake valve at a predetermined RPM for increased power at high RPMs.
2023 Suzuki V-Strom 1050 and V-Strom 1050DE First Look
Tue, 06 Sep 2022V-Strom 1050XT gets replaced by a more capable off-road variant Suzuki announced updates for the V-Strom 1050, as well as a new off-road oriented version for 2023. The new 2023 Suzuki V-Strom 1050DE replaces the 1050XT model, and adds new features to make it a more capable off-road machine such as a 21-inch front wheel, longer-stroke suspension, and a larger aluminum bash plate. Both models remain powered by a 1037cc V-Twin engine, but for 2023, Suzuki introduced new hollow sodium-filled exhaust valves, claiming reduced temperature in the combustion chamber, and thus improved efficiency and durability.
