1985 Suzuki 1200 Madura this bike is a piece of art work. If this bike dose not sell I will be just as glad to keep it for ever. I have polished all the engine cases and ever piece that can be polished on the bike. This was the super bike of the day and I would ride this bike over the Harley Road King any day. The reserve is going be high on this bike for a lot of sweet has gone into the bike and it is not far from being in show room condition for its age. I have over 100 pictures of the bike , I think this bike is 80's all the way. I was 25 years of age when the bike was new and sure would have liked to have one of theses years ago Ever who buys this bike will have a show piece it is art work as much as anything else. I do trade ever once in a will car or bikes from the 60.s and 70's.I do know that there are very few bikes left from 1985 that looks and rides like this 1200 cc Madura. The defending champions haven’t scored a single victory this year, but are hoping its fortunes turn for them during this weekend’s season finale: the grueling 24 hours of LeMans. Yes, motorcycles participate in this classic race, but the course configuration is entirely different from what the car guys use. Racing vows renewed at Motegi
Mon, 04 Oct 2010Over the weekend, an aged Japanese racer reacquainted himself with one of his early loves. Celebrating 50 years of Suzuki racing, Mitsuo Ito took his former flame, the RM63, for a trip down memory lane and a lap around the Motegi circuit. The miniscule 50cc race bike was born from the legend of MZ employee Ernst Degner's defection from East Germany to Japan during the early days of the Cold War.
