Suzuki Other description

Vintage gem for sale. Rare 1983 Suzuki GR650 Tempter in great condition. Fully serviced, new fluids, all new filters and new tires. Needs nothing. Ride it home today.

The bike comes with two keys, clean title, motorcycle cover, tool kit, spare oil filter and a copy of the Suzuki service manual.

This is the premium D model with two tone paint, cast wheels and adjustable air forks. The bike has only 7700 miles. Unmolested. All stock. It is a 650cc twin with dual dome combustion chambers, direct air injection, monoshock rear suspension and trick dual stage clutched flywheel for low speed forgiveness and high speed performance. It really was quite a package of moto technology for 1983 and for a 650cc, it is very light with reasonable seat height. Everything is in spec and works properly- including all lights, gear indicator and fuel gauge.

I rescued this bike from where it sat in garage storage for some time. I have spent many hours inspecting everything in detail and completing all maintenance to ensure absolutely everything is in factory spec, reliable and safe. The following was completed over the last week:

New tires have been installed and balanced with new valve stems. The entire fuel system has been flushed, new fuel lines, fuel filter and completely cleaned rebuilt, synchronized and tuned carburetors. New reusable oiled foam Uni air filter upgrade within the stock air box plenum system designed specifically for this bike.

The lubrication system was flushed, new synthetic Castrol oil and K&N oil filter installed. New AGM sealed battery is installed and the charging system works flawlessly. The cam and valve specs were checked. Electronic ignition, timing and ignition advance is perfect and new spark plugs installed. There is not even a hint of an oil leak, not a drop. The clutch is in perfect adjustment. The front brake system was flushed and filled with new brake fluid and the pads still look new. The rear brake is in adjustment and not even close to the limit indicator. The chain is of course clean, adjusted and lubricated. Sprockets still look new. All cables have been lubricated and adjusted. It's in great condition for a 33 year old bike but there are a few paint scratches, there are dings in front fender and chrome is not 100% perfect. The seat is very nice. The bike is light, nimble and quick with very comfortable ergonomics. It's safe and reliable, I would ride it anywhere.

Stuck for a gift? Solution No3: Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki or Kawasaki merchandise

Fri, 09 Dec 2011

After the excesses of KTM and Harley's gifts ranges, Hondas seems tame. But even the sober Japanese firm has a handful of oddities in its line-up. The Japanese have been accused of imitating in the past, and Honda's incorporation of a baby's dummy in its official accessories catalogue mimics KTM's 'Silencer-System Mini Pro'.
