Suzuki Hayabusa description
UP FOR AUCTION AGAIN, NON-PAYING WINNING BIDDER! PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT IF YOU ARE THE WINNING BIDDER YOU ARE EXPECTED TO PAY AS THIS IS EBAY REGULATION! THANK YOU!
The riding season is upon us so grab this while you can... Up for auction today at no reserve is my Suzuki Hayabusa SE... It is completely in stock form and is fast as hell... It will sell to the highest paying bidder.
This is a gorgeous specimen of a bike. By
far the nicest, fastest bike I have ever owned. It has been meticulously
maintained. Garage kept, runs like new. Oil just changed with synthetic
of course. Extremely low mileage at 6k. That is an average of 545 mi per
year. By any standards these bikes have 30k-40k miles + at this year
and are still running strong. Has a tank bra, and a SPY motorcycle
alarm system with 2 key fobs. You can see on the remote if the alarm is
being activated nice feature. Also the brake rotors have been replaced with Arashi performance rotors that stop on a dime. This is absolutely not a beginners bike. I
will not sell it to a novice. It is and must be respected for its
power. Completely stock with 2 factory Suzuki keys, clear NV title in hand.
Tires are good its turn key ready to go. This is a rare Special Edition bike black in
color. I have perfect feedback and have sold high ticket items... bid with confidence. Any questions or if you need additional pics let me know.
The Suzuki Hayabusa (or GSX1300R) is a sport bike motorcycle made by
Suzuki since 1999. It immediately won acclaim as the world's fastest
production motorcycle, with a top speed of 188 to 194 miles per hour
(303 to 312 km/h). Hayabusa (éš¼?) is Japanese for "peregrine falcon", a
bird that often serves as a metaphor for speed due to its vertical
hunting dive, or stoop, speed of 180 to 202 miles per hour (290 to 325
km/h), the fastest of any bird. In particular, the choice of name was
made because the peregrine falcon preys on blackbirds, which reflected
the intent of the original Hayabusa to unseat the Honda CBR1100XX Super
Blackbird as the world's fastest production motorcycle. Eventually, the
Hayabusa managed to surpass the Super Blackbird by at least a full 10
miles per hour (16 km/h). The media-reported value for the speed
agreement in miles per hour was consistently 186 mph, while in
kilometers per hour it varied from 299 to 303 km/h, which is typical
given unit conversion rounding errors. This figure may also be affected
by a number of external factors, as can the power and torque values. In
2000, fears of a European regulatory backlash or import ban led to an
informal agreement between the Japanese and European manufacturers to
limit the top speed of their motorcycles at an arbitrary limit. The
conditions under which this limitation was adopted led to the 1999--2000
Hayabusa's title remaining, at least technically, unassailable, since
no subsequent model could go faster without being tampered with. Thus,
after the much anticipated Kawasaki Ninja ZX-12R of 2000 fell 4 mph (6
km/h) short of claiming the title, the Hayabusa secured its place as the
fastest standard production bike of the 20th century. This gives the
unrestricted 1999--2000 models even more cachet with collectors. Besides
its speed, the Hayabusa has been lauded by many reviewers for its
all-around performance, in that it does not drastically compromise other
qualities like handling, comfort, reliability, noise, fuel economy or
price in pursuit of a single function. Jay Koblenz of Motorcycle
Consumer News commented, If you think the ability of a motorcycle to
approach 190 mph or reach the quarter-mile in under 10 seconds is at
best frivolous and at worst offensive, this still remains a motorcycle
worthy of just consideration. The Hayabusa is Speed in all its glory.
But Speed is not all the Hayabusa is.

Sun, 26 Sep 2021Suzuki launched this cruise missile in 2006, right when the US housing market was experiencing a little froth, and every new three-car garage in the land needed a big custom cruiser. Can we get stucco? O how you can get stucco!
First Laps of the 2015 Suzuki MotoGP Racer
Tue, 18 Jun 2013Suzuki put its new prototype race bike through its first test laps alongside other MotoGP racers in preparation for its impending return to racing in the 2015 season. Test rider Nobuatsu Aoki, who had been playing a key role in the racebike’s development, took the new Suzuki 1000cc Inline-Four prototype out for a few shakedown laps before handing things over to Randy de Puniet who completed the bulk of the testing at Spain’s Catalunya circuit. After a day of testing, de Puniet put up the eighth-best lap time, clocking in at 1:42.676, just 0.772 seconds behind Yamaha‘s Jorge Lorenzo who had the top lap time among all participants. It’s important to note however that Repsol Honda and series leader Dani Pedrosa did not participate in this test.
Motorcycles at the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show
Mon, 28 Sep 2009Two weeks ago, I took a break from my regular duties gathering news for Motorcycle.com to fly to Germany to cover the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show for our sister site AutoGuide.com. For two hectic days, AutoGuide editor Colum Wood and I scrambled across the massive 6.2 million square foot Messe Frankfurt trade fair compound, running from press conference to press conference to get the latest on exotic sport cars, futuristic concept models and international unveilings from the automotive world. It was heaven for car lovers, but for me, it meant fighting my way through hordes of photogs, auto-journalists and car show models to get the first photos of four-wheeled goodies from MINI, Ferrari and Lotus.
