Transmission A six-speed close-ratio transmission features vertically staggered shafts to reduce overall engine length. Race-proven back-torque-limiting clutch contributes to smoother downshifting and corner entry. Chassis Race-developed, lightweight 41mm Showa Big Piston front-Fork (BPF) delivers superb feedback and consistent performance. A lightweight and compact twin-spar aluminum cradle frame is made of five cast sections and features a cast swingarm. Suspension 3-way adjustable footpegs, adjustable shift lever, and short fuel tank help compose a comfortable riding position. Results From Day 1 Of World Superbike Testing At Phillip Island
Mon, 17 Feb 2014Eugene Laverty, aboard his Voltcom Crescent Suzuki GSX-R1000, led the field today as the first day of World Superbike testing got underway at the Phillip Island circuit in Australia, site of the first race of the 2014 season. Under sunny skies and perfect weather conditions, Laverty adapted quickly to his new ride after spending last season aboard the Aprilia RSV4 Factory. The Suzuki offered incredible feedback and allowed him to push right out of the gates, ultimately setting a fastest lap time of 1:30.513.
Suzuki Hit with $885,000 Penalty and Other Sanctions by EPA
Mon, 17 Sep 2012American Suzuki has agreed to a number of sanctions including an $885,000 penalty for importing ATVs and off-road motorcycles that do not meet the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency‘s emission control standards. The EPA and Suzuki negotiated the monetary penalty as well as other sanctions for the 25,396 units of the 2006-2009 LT-R450 ATV and the 62 units of the 2010 RMX450Z.
