Suzuki GSX-R description

2013 Suzuki GSX-R1000 1 Million Commemorative Edition, 2013 GSX-R1000 1 Million Commemorative Edition As Suzuki celebrated 60 years of motorcycle production in 2012, the one millionth GSX-R rolled off the production line too. Both of these feats are only possible thanks to the on-going and continued support from Suzuki fan, racers, and dealers worldwide. To acknowledge this important milestone, Suzuki brings GSX-R1000 1 million Commemorative edition for the 2013 model year. This special equipped production model will be limited to 1,985 units worldwide, taken after 1985, when GSX-R series was introduced and completely redefined the definition of a sport bike. Taking the market by storm, the GSX-R delivered new levels of performance and agility, quickly dominating both the roads and racetracks of the world. Built to own the racetrack and let loose on the streets. Since 1985, the GSX-R has been continuously refined to deliver new levels of performance and agility. In 2013, this legacy of innovation continues with over 1 million legends made.

There’s really not that much to wrap, frankly. It’s been mostly drama-free. The Suzuki Burgman 400 entered my fleet in mid-March with just 70 miles on the clock, and now sits at 731.

2014 WSBK – Portimao Results

Mon, 07 Jul 2014

Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes extended his championship lead while a Race Two collision between Aprilia teammates Sylvain Guintoli and Marco Melandri provided drama in the World Superbike Championship round at Portugal’s Portimao track. Sykes qualified on the pole in a sun-draped Superpole session but the clouds rolled in on race day, forcing teams to plan for mixed weather. An overcast sky presided over a dry Race One, leading to a mix of tire choices but all of the racers switched to wet tires for Race Two that saw the scheduled 20-lap length reduced to 18 laps.
