Suzuki GSX-R description

Story time: 2 years ago I called a friend of mine that is the crew chief for a top AMA team and told him I needed a good 1000 race bike.  He called the crew chief of the Yoshimura Suzuki AMA superbike team (Peter Doyle) and said that I could buy Blake Young's motorcycle...  I was interested but the price was CRAZY.  So he said that he could get another bike that was WERA and CCS susperstock legal, but still built professionally by Yoshimura.  The price was still CRAZY, but I had to buy it...  That's how I got this bike.  I bought it directly from Yoshimura Suzuki in CA and had to shipped here.  It was sold to me brand new with the MSO and I've had it titled in my name.  Clean title in hand.  You can see the pictures of when it was delivered and how It came to me.

I bought this bike last year, but didn't race during the 2012 season.  I've raced almost the full 2013 season, but I need to sell this bike so I can buy a 600cc to race AMA next year.

Now for info about this bike.  IT'S FAST!  This bike was built by the best race team in the country.  It has all the upgrades you could possibly want and it's a dream to ride.  Everything works perfect and I've never had a single mechanical issue.  I've worked with Marietta Motorsports to set up the suspension throughout the season.  You can see from the trophies that I've had some success.  I'm also including all the extra parts that I have for this bike as shown in the pictures.  This bike is worth well over $50,000 in parts and labor, and I have over $30,000 invested in it.

List of upgrades
Professionally built superstock legal engine by Yoshimura Suzuki
Full Ohlins suspension with 25mm kit forks with addition springs and TTX rear shock

Video: The nastiest Suzuki in the whole range

Tue, 05 Apr 2011

Before I take myself off to our local casualty department  to get these graunching rib bones checked out, I thought it might be a good idea to tell you why you must buy a 2011 RM85 Suzuki as soon as feasibly possible. Time is running out. Two-strokes are toast, right?

Are Motorcycles Safer With Antilock Brakes?

Tue, 30 Dec 2008

A new report says riders with ABS-equipped bikes can dramatically reduce the chance of a fatal accident. The study compared fatality rates among riders on bikes that have antilock brakes, and it found that death rates were 38% lower on motorcycles equipped with the optional ABS systems compared to non-ABS bikes. In 2005-2006, the fatal crashes per 10,000 registered motorcycles without antilock brakes was 6.6.
