2009 Suzuki Gsx-R 1000, I'm selling my Blue/White 2009 GSXR1000. I am the original owner. Bike is paid off and has a Clear Title. The bike has never been wrecked or been down. Bike is in Great Condition. Mods: Full Brocks Streetmeg Ceramic Black Exhaust Power Commander 5 with custom tune Dyno Jet PC5 Quickshifter with QS Rods BMC Race Air Filter Puig Wind Screen Healtech Speedo Healer Competition Werkes Relocation Kit for License Plate First Oil Change I switched to Amsoil Full Synthetic with their Filters and have been using Amsoil since. I just bought a new set of Bridgestone BT-016 tires for the bike. Reason for selling is I'm getting back into off roading. I just bought a new Kawasaki Brute Force 750 and I'm thinking about getting a RZR 1000 next year, plus I still have my 08 Busa to ride on the street if I get bored with the ATV. A couple years ago we put the then-new Kawasaki Z900RS up against the Suzuki GSX-S1000 in a slightly apples-to-oranges comparo, Retro or Not(ro), which the Kawi won by a hair. Now that Suzuki has their own retro based upon the GSX-S in the Katana, we felt like we had to do it again.
AMA Superbike: 2012 Daytona Results
Tue, 20 Mar 2012Josh Hayes and Blake Young picked things up where they left off by trading wins at the 2012 season-opening AMA Superbike round at Daytona International Speedway. Reigning champion Hayes of Monster Energy Graves Yamaha took the first race handily, leading almost right from the start of the 15-lap race for the win. Yoshimura Suzuki’s Young, who finished second to Hayes in the 2011 AMA Superbike Championship, responded by taking the second race, but only by a slim 0.002-second margin.
FIM Updates Superbike Racing Homologation Lists for 2013
Tue, 19 Feb 2013The International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) has released an updated list of motorcycles homologated for the 2013 Superbike, Supersport, and Superstock racing season. Notable additions include the new BMW S1000RR HP4, the MV Agusta F3 and the Superbike-spec Ducati 1199 Panigale R. To qualify a production-based racebike for FIM homologations, manufacturers have to meet certain production thresholds.
