Suzuki GSX-R description
This listing is for one fantastic motorcycle. Visually - it looks amazing. Mechanically runs great. I came across this motorcycle at a police auction months ago and since I'm a motorcycle enthusiast and I didn't have one of these I decided to buy it. Cosmetically it looked bad but I knew I could easily replace those parts. I stripped it down and started going through each system including the brakes, intake, electrical, lights, tires, etc. Here is a quick list of all of the parts replaced:
Brake Pads- Both front and rear brake pads replaced and adjusted Clutch - adjusted Chain- replaced Front Tire- Replaced Rear Tire- Re-balanced Gauges Housing - Replaced Windscreen - Replaced Mirrors- Replaced Plastic Side Fairings-Replaced Grips- Replaced Levers- Replaced Battery- Replaced Brake, Turn Signals, and License plate light-Replaced with new LED Lights Seats- new seat covers installed Shifter lever- Replaced Oil Filter- Replaced and fluids changed Radiator-Replaced and fluids changed Air Filter- Replaced Spark Plugs- Replaced I went through the bike planning to keep it in my collection but the wife is not fond of this style motorcycle and refuses to ride on it with me. I sunk a lot of time and money into the bike but had fun doing it over the winter. I've only put a few miles on it and it runs fantastic but I did notice it has an oil leak- not uncommon for these bikes. Since it came from a police auction the title is a salvage title but it wasn't wrecked. Anything that comes from a police auction will have a salvage title. I've looked around at all of the GSXR's for sale around the country from Craigslist to Ebay and CycleTrader to get a feel for the pricing. I have priced mine below the average selling price because I don't like to waste time with tirekickers. It's a nicer bike than 99% of them out there and well below the average price. You can feel confident that the bike is ready to go anywhere with a fresh battery, plugs, filter, brakes, chain, etc. |

2022 Suzuki GSX-S1000 Review – First Ride
Fri, 25 Mar 2022Cleaner, greener, more civilized but even meaner Credit: Photos by Kevin Wing It’s always fun to read the armchair quarterbackings of our beloved MOrons in the Comments whenever a new motorcycle springs into view, and the latest iteration of Suzuki’s naked GSX-S1000, harumph, was no exception. Some hate the angular new styling, some defend it. Some lament the demise of Suzuki in general, some admire the company’s resourcefulness in doing less with more.
2022 Suzuki Hayabusa Review - First Ride
Thu, 10 Jun 2021The new Hayabusa is the same as it ever was: a land-based missile Credit: Photos by Kevin Wing With all of our staff editors busy working on the upcoming middleweight naked bike shootout, we found ourselves in a difficult position. Thankfully, we have Mark Miller in our quiver of freelancers. Who else but someone who has raced in some of the most challenging motorcycle races around the world could be trusted to crank the throttle of a Hayabusa wide open down the long front straight of the Utah Motorsports Campus?
