Up for bid is a 2001 SUZUKI GSXR600 with a low reserve. This bike has only 11797 miles and starts right on up and runs fine. The problem is that it has been dropped and there is damage to the plastic, the right footpeg is broken and the right brake lever is broken. The front fender is missing either from damage or for looks and the low beam is disconnected. It has a Yoshimura RS3 exhaust which makes it sound real nice and the eurotail gives it that sleek look. But since it has been down, we are going to be selling it cheap, rather than putting in the time and effort to get what this bike Should draw. Yet, this might be a great opportunity for someone to grab up a nice bike, put a little effort into getting it ship-shape and going out having a lot of fun. May be a cheap way out for a beginner who doesn't want to take a new bike and drop it themselves, causing them to loose a lot of money. Mon, 07 Jul 2014Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes extended his championship lead while a Race Two collision between Aprilia teammates Sylvain Guintoli and Marco Melandri provided drama in the World Superbike Championship round at Portugal’s Portimao track. Sykes qualified on the pole in a sun-draped Superpole session but the clouds rolled in on race day, forcing teams to plan for mixed weather. An overcast sky presided over a dry Race One, leading to a mix of tire choices but all of the racers switched to wet tires for Race Two that saw the scheduled 20-lap length reduced to 18 laps.
2011 AMA Pro Daytona Sportbike Champion Danny Eslick
Tue, 06 Sep 2011Danny Eslick won his second career AMA Daytona Sportbike Championship, adding another #1 plate to the one he won in 2009. The Geico Powersports RMR Suzuki GSX-R600 rider won three races this season and added another five podium finishes to win the title by a 275-256 margin over Monster Energy Graves Yamaha’s Josh Herrin. Eslick clinched the title after finishing sixth in the first race of the 2011 season finale at New Jersey Motorsports Park.
