Suzuki GSX-R description
Up for auction is a 1992 Suzuki GSX-R 1100 with 5,390 original miles. This is the last year of the oil cooled motors. This particular color is the rarer of the two tiger stripe options available. This bike will be the closet thing you will find to buying it new. It is untouched. Meaning this is all in stock factory condition, down to the factory paint marks from assembly on the bolts. Most of these bikes ended up being highly modified for drag racing. It is rare to find one untouched, and if you are looking at this ad, you know that. When the exhaust heats up, it still smells new. From Suzuki Motor of America "Suzuki Motor of America, Inc. can confirm that this motorcycle was manufactured by Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan, and imported in to the U.S.A. by American Suzuki Motor Corporation on December 13, 1991. Our records indicate that the Vehicle Sequence Number for this unit is 208421069 and in its stock and unmodified condition, this motorcycle came in dual colors White/Blue, with Engine Serial Number V710-121077. This 1992 GSX-R1100 with Vehicle Identification Number JS1GV73A4N2102145 was initially put into service on August 19, 1992, and the Selling Dealer was Cycle Werks of Barr, Inc., Illinois" Story as I know it: Bike was originally purchased in Illinois and the 1st owner put the majority of the miles on it. He soon ran into money issues and a friend bailed him out. That friend cherished the bike and rarely rode it. He held on to the motorcycle until 2012, when his son sold the bike. I found the bike advertised in Chicago, but a collector in NY had already purchased it. The NY collector changed all the fluids, tracked down a solo seat cowl (a beat up one on eBay right now for $350), new OEM right side lower fairing (~$800+) due to at some point being a garage queen in the 90s and 2000s the bike tipped over and scratched the decal. Original is pictured and included in sale. He started the bike weekly and put roughly 400 miles on the bike. He decided it was too nice to ride and offered the bike for sale October 2013. My quest to purchase this unicorn was complete. I had the bike shipped from NY to Kansas to surprise my Dad for his 49th birthday. This was the same bike (not same VIN) he brought home when I was 4 years old, so naturally I grew up thinking this was the coolest bike ever. My Dad loved seeing the bike again, road it minimally over the next 2 years and then decided to buy a Harley. In that time, carbs were synced and rear shock was rebuilt. I transported the bike from Kansas to my home in Kentucky in December 2015. The bike currently has 5,390 miles on it, and it will not go up. I am regretfully selling to fund a new business venture. If given the chance, I will happily buy this bike back in a few years. Again, really not much to say about the bike other then it is in like-new mechanical and physical condition. Please view the photos for a detail physical description of the bike. If more photos are needed please contact me.Please contact me for any addition information needed. Included: 2 limited edition Shoei GSX-R matching helmets, like-new in box. These helmets were only made in 92 to compliment the color scheme of this bike. Nissan Juke R v Suzuki GSX-R1000
Fri, 26 Jul 2013Three-times BSB champion John Reynolds and a GSX-R1000 take on a Nissan Juke R around Rockingham. The Juke R is one of only 4 in the world, can do 0-60 in under 3.2 seconds and has a top speed of 160mph. Whilst the Suzuki can beat those stats, John still thinks that the car has the edge around the tight Rockingham Raceway circuit. Who do you think will get the fastest lap, car or bike?
