Suzuki GSX-R description

A very clean and safe bike. New Conti tires, new fork oil, seals and bushings, new oil and filter, and new brake pads.

It's all there and runs like a champ. Pulls strong even at our high altitude of 7000 and does not smoke. Idles nicely.

It's no trailer queen. It shows use and patina as you would expect for the mileage and age.

Slight scrape on right side cover but not cracked. Looks like a tip over. There is a split that has been glued on upper left faring in front of clip-on. Left rear tail has some clear coat peeling around decals.

Tank is nice. I highlighted in a pic an ever so small ding that you might never notice if I didn't say anything.

All lights and signals work.

Only issue is the starter/clutch switch is finicky  - you have to pull the clutch lever in all the way and let out 1/4" of an inch for switch to engage and allow the starter to spin. Minor annoyance but you get used to it when you find the "sweet spot".

Otherwise it's rare to find a complete 90s sportbike that has not been thrashed.

I have the original rear seat and cowl for when you want passengers. No tears to to either front or rear seat. Also included is a period correct original factory tank bra.

Could just use a good ol' fashioned toothbrush cleaning.

Clear title in my name.

All sales are final PLEASE ask questions. Sold as-is. I am an enthusiast and have a small collection of older bikes but specialize in european makes so it's easier to sell this bike.

Occasionally interested in trades but you need to approach me before auction's end as to what you have otherwise the auction will run it's course. Preferably pre 1990 bikes.

If you are planning to pick-up bike in person I will be out of town for the Thanksgiving holiday. Otherwise I highly recommend Daily Direct motorcycle shipping. They are quick safe and affordable.

New ÖHLINS products for GSX-R600 & GSX-R750

Fri, 25 Mar 2011

ÖHLINS Racing has completed final testing and is now ready to launch a complete range of suspension upgrade kits for the 2011 Suzuki GSX-R600 and GSX-R750 The GSX-R600 comes equipped with Big Piston Forks (BPF) as standard but Öhlins recommends fitting its NIX30 fork kit or pressurised system.  Aside from the perfermance improvements, these systems are much quicker and more simple to adjust with compression damping on the left fork leg and rebound on the right. The Öhlins TTX36 rear shock is the perfect accompaniment for the GSX-R600 and 750 and uses MotoGP developed Twin Tube technology, improving feedback by utilising positive pressure on both the compression and rebound stroke of the shock. The forks and shock can be interchanged between the 2011 GSX-R 600 & 750.
