Suzuki GSX-R description

NO TITLE. 1987 Suzuki GSXR 1100. Bike was dropped off at my shop couple years ago to put on new sprockets and chain and rebuild clutch master cylinder. After work completed, several attempts to contact customer no reply. No reply at last known address. I had a local police officer run the VIN and came back clear but the owner was deceased. Tried to contact family, no luck. Bike has been stored inside heated. At this point the inside storage outwheighs the value of the bike.I don't want the hassle of going through garage lien. So it is priced accordingly NO TITLE. Motor starts runs strong.Idles smooth.. NO smoke, NO engine noise.  Just cleaned and synched carbs.. Yoshimura pipe- K & N filters sound excellent.  Wheels and forks straight. Clutch and shifting fine. Goes into neutral easy. Gauges good, tank good.Upper cowl good. Cowling left side rough no good, but right side cowl good. Buyer responsible for shipping or pick up. NO RESERVE AUCTION. Any questions call 845-336-5910. Thanks, Frank  -  R & R Cycle Inc

AMA Superbike: 2012 Daytona Results

Tue, 20 Mar 2012

Josh Hayes and Blake Young picked things up where they left off by trading wins at the 2012 season-opening AMA Superbike round at Daytona International Speedway. Reigning champion Hayes of Monster Energy Graves Yamaha took the first race handily, leading almost right from the start of the 15-lap race for the win. Yoshimura Suzuki’s Young, who finished second to Hayes in the 2011 AMA Superbike Championship, responded by taking the second race, but only by a slim 0.002-second margin.

WSBK 2013: Moscow Race Report

Mon, 22 Jul 2013

Marco Melandri captured his third win of the season, the Ducati 1199 Panigale scored its first podium while Sylvain Guintoli regained the championship lead despite dislocating his collarbone days before the race. But the big news at Moscow Raceway of course was the tragic death of Andrea Antonelli in the World Supersport race. The opening-lap crash in severely wet conditions naturally led to the cancellation of the rest of the events as the World Superbike community mourns the loss of the 25-year-old Antonelli.

Oh hi there Mobil!

There was a time when Grand Prix racing was a lucrative affair, with the bikes and their riders resembling the fag packets that sponsored them. However, two unfortunate and costly blows hit the paddock; the banning of tobacco advertising in 2005 followed by the global economic crisis. The off-shoot saw grid numbers drastically dwindle with staple teams, like Kenny Roberts' outfit, and manufacturers, Kawasaki and Suzuki, succumbing to the events and disappearing.
