Up for bids is my 1987 Suzuki GSXR 1100. I've had this bike over 3 years now and its time to sell it to someone that will ride it. It has a little over 23,000 miles and is in good condition. Here are the good points on it: Paint has light rub marks or scratches, has new windshield and lights all work good, new battery from NAPA, and customized dual exhaust. The bad points: it needs a new rear tire (small leak), new fork seals and new carburetor bowls soon, and has a fuel leak somewhere near the fuel tank. When i bought the bike it was not running at all so I had to get the carbs tuned and cleaned and also put a new petcock valve on it. So I spent a little over 400 to get it running and still runs as we speak. My loss is your gain and this would be an exceptional project for someone who is into these vintage bikes. It has a clear title also. No test rides for now because it is not insured and I will drive it and let you see how it rides. Any questions feel free to contact me. Yes its good honest people back in charge of the Derbyshire circuit so we saw summer sunshine for Friday’s free practice and also for WSB race two on Sunday. The circuit is better than ever with a new Esses section in place, and while the paddock remains unchanged, work has already started that will see gradual revamp over the year ahead.

Thu, 14 Jul 2011Suzuka was always one of the great circuits; unfortunately the Japanese track was dropped following the tragic death of Daijiro Kato in 2003 as the course was deemed too tight and dangerous for the rapid four-strokes. Owned by Honda, Suzuka is a magical place combining arching S-bends from the start of the lap, high-speed in the middle and finished off with the technical and oft racing deciding final chicane, the location of many fantastic last lap battles. However the death of Kato, and Honda’s major hope of a Japanese champion, placed a dark cloud over the 5.807 kilometres of tarmac.
